Here you see the rough sketch of the idea, not sure if the balloon will remain, we'll see! It's all digital in Procreate with Ipad Pro.

See the guy get drawn from the very start. When it's near the end, I had to pop up the layers and try stuff for the final mix. I really like how it turned out.

This the final stage, after this one. Although the lastest step would be colors, but it's not the purpose for now.
I didn't know what I wanted for the background, just some enhancement to the shadow, black on the left, white on the right. I just played around with curvy black solids posing on a flat horizon line and voilà ! Really happy how the whole thing turned out, a pretty good practice.

Following the previous step, now here's the complicate part of the shadowing with high contrast.
It took a bit of time, as I tried and redid, rethinked the thing. Not fully satisfied at that point, but, and it's a BIG BUTT (obviously), the last step drawing the ground and background takes the artwork to the next level. I show you that in a few hours!

Here you see my character Nimo as I drawn & inked him the traditional way during the latest comiccon. I scanned the basic inking, then added very high contrast as shading. Then some heavy graphic black solids in the background.

Yesterday I was at the last event where I was signing for a while, as you know most of us need to stay out of crowds. I had 3 others events planned for april, others in may but every single one are cancelled. I hope it's for the best and everyone stays safe.

The very tattooed character once again, I'm really into him lately & practicing digital inking with that hunk is perfect. So here you see my first try out on a very heavy black solid render of the drawing. I have comics like "Sin City" in mind, also A-Ha "Take on Me" gorgeous vid. I won't keep the lines I added on the black solids & white parts I guess, we'll see that on another test.

Another full page all sketched. It's funny to see how the panels are mixed. You also notice the head wasn't planned to cross panel 1 as it shows on the final version. I dunno if you also notice some parts that change during the process, mostly corrections, often the eyes or look.
Oddly I need to not see a drawing for a while in order to get what might be wrong and get it right. It's always a bit stressful, all the more with traditional drawing. Like, you can't erase too many times, or y...

Still practicing digital inking & this character. I'm trying stuff, the shape of his tattoos, etc.
For the record, the 3 (sometimes 4) triangle tats around the nipple is a very old design I created years ago. I'm glad this could figure in a comic of mine.
It seems he's gonna be totally hairless, even his pubic "hair" is a tattoo. I guess he might get some more, on the back, on his ass. We'll see!

As I said in the comments of this page, this is a favorite panel of mine. The pose & the face expression, plus the jungle fits perfectly, right before he's getting caught in the act.
I remember when drawing the hairy legs: it's insanely long and they show so much hair! And each time I love the end result so the long time spent on such artwork is worth it.

Look at that! Of course I did draw a bald guy with a huge tattoo over his head as hair! Looking for a good throw back thursday from the vault, I stepped into that drawing and I could not share it, seeing what I'm going for with the next comic!
I enhanced the art with some cold photo filters, I like what I went for with the graphic background here.
I don't remember why I mixed the tattoos with body hair, I think it's better on a smooth body, but this was worth a try, wasn't it?

And here I show you what an all digital sketch drawn with Procreate look like, comparing to the previous post with the traditional sketch. Actually there are 2 layers: one basic form for the proportions & one for the final sketch. You can distinguish both as it's not the same color.
It's amazingly smooth to draw with the app & the device (Ipad Pro). You quickly get rid of the lack of thrusting with the paper, the cold of the screen. Still, I love to draw my LUST artworks traditi...

It's always weird for me to see the all sketch variation for a page. There are so many harwork hours on each panel, it just strikes right away each time!

This was sketched a while ago during lunchtime at work. Well, just the SFW part, of course, I completed the body at home & then totally forgot the drawing! Originally, I wanted to go for inking too. It's actually traditional graphite pencil on paper. Gotta show you how looks a sketch with Procreate, it's clean, haha!!

This is a turning point, folks: my first full all digital try out for the next comic series I'm working on!
You recognize the character with the tattoed head, replacing the white & black hair I wasn't satisfied with. Here you got it's almost final look.
The inking process and the coloring is absolutely smooth and enchanting on Procreate, I take much more joy to apply color there than ever before. I got so much to improve but as a very first test I'm really happy!

This one is actually updated with the eyes, there was something wrong, too dark, messy and now the page is okay.
When drawing this one, I faced the complex posing of their arms, plus their look. I do like the image although I'm not satisfied with the perspective of the background, but not that relevant with the action on the foreground, heh!
