Unpacking? (Step by step)

Watching the animation brings back how hard this panel was: the pose, the drenched body with all the hair. Sometimes, when I struggle that much with a drawing, I feel empowered when it's finished: like, I can draw anything now!

The part I enjoy with the whole sequence since he went into water, is the dripping & water around giving the sense of movement. Nice touch and I don't need speedlines, as you've seen in all my work I'm not really fond of.

Blowing in Red (NSFW)

I did train my art on some pron scenes (cannot spell the word correctly, you seem to get trouble with Patreon...) back in the day, having the production for LUST comic 1 in mind.

This is traditional graphite on paper, scan, enhance digitally + digital red color with Photoshop.

I do like the perspective on the right & the details on the dick: really promising for all that was about to come next, heh!

I corrected a bit the light here & most of all his haircut, much too...

Drawing characters #113 (NSFWish)

Only inking + shadow, but I'm coming back with the cross-hatching later & full background, everything's much too clean, hehe! Still spot on for today's humpday!

Drawing characters #100 (NSFW full ink)

You saw the sketch in early july & I didn't plan to finish this one, but as I'm training my inking & cross-hatching technics, I decided to push it further. 

And I must say I really like the end result. Still looking for my right balance with the technic, but I know I'm not far. Like how I apply this to the background, surroundings, as it's gonna be colors also there.

LUST comic 04 - page 21 (sketch)

A stripped down version, to the essential: the sketch. So much done after that, but this very first steps take some time, matching what I have in mind, the storyline, the character, the references.

Doggy Hairy Style (NSFW)

I won't leave this throw back Thursday without an image not safe for work for my dear patrons! 3 years ago, I remember getting this reference for the body hair, but surprisingly I'm thrilled by the defined leg muscles: the curves are so erotic and match the balls & partially hidden dick. 

I just love this traditional graphite illustration, I hope so do you :-)

Turn around (NSFW)

Sharing a new sequence from march 2018 for this (early) throw back thursday. And this comes from the second chapter of LUST. It's the double page at the beginning where this character turns around in front of our hero.

It's cool to finally do this sequence as it's really how I saw it long before in my mind. Of course the 4 images are not at the same size & perspective, but the work on them here does somehow the trick, hehe!

Drawing characters #112

Another inking + cross-hatching test. I also focused on the background here, how to match it better with the character using the technic. I realized lately I need to go for lesser cross-hatching, there's somekind of limitation to it in my eyes. I try to study more fabulous artists using the technic, especially in US comics as some people compared my recent work with them.

I can't wait to go for the production stage, but I don't wanna fuck it up so practice, practice, and practice some m...

Drawing characters #87 (StepXstep vid)

Better late than never! I do have the possibility to export timelapses of my digital artwork. Many artists use the basic 30 seconds from Procreate but I think it's much too quick. I try before to remix it in 2 minutes with the Marshall xtasy drawing and it worked better. I just need to work on the project in After Effects & find some cool music.

So, finally you get the full video from this amazing inking test from april. The funny part is I seem to have spent WAY TOO MUCH time on......

Drawing characters #102 (colors)

After the full inking with cross-hatching, I put this one aside for colors & boy I'm glad I gave it a try! All the more I tested a new way of coloring: cross-hatching style. It does fit the inking & shading actually. 

I won't lie, I feel so out of my league with colors that I'm never sure of the actual result, heh! So here you witness what the future comic could finally look like...

Out of the water! (Step by step)

This is a panel where I struggled A LOT, while I thought it would be harder with the extreme perspectives on others. Even with good reference, sometimes a pose doesn't come around. But, hey, it's here. At the very end you can spot I recently modified the right eye (his left one): something was off with his face & it's a bit corrected, now, phew!

On a lighter note, I loved working on all the water & drops, even with the tons of body hair :-)

One of the most stunning panel from this chapter. Probably the best perspective I worked with, really extreme with the head! You can see the complex process, especially when the drops were made. Soon available the smooth version, here you can see how the body hair darkens the artwork.

Double Hump? Sock it up! (NSFW)

To start the new month, nothing better that curves all around! At first I was going for a full black & white digital ink + cross-hatching but I changed my mind for some digital colors & shading, experimenting the tools & stuff. It's all very red, but I guess it fits the subject, hehe!

All naked but the feet! Maybe he's got cold feet, or I don't forget the socks lovers ;-)

A very different body type from 3 years ago for this throw back thursday. I don't remember the reference used but I wanted to render this *rêverie* look he's got. But I know you're staring at ALL he has to offer. ^^

What I also like here is there's no background at all but you imagine this wall he's leaning on, thanks to the strong vertical shadows.

Drawing characters #110 (NSFWish)

This one was supposed to be a quick study on full lenghth pose, and it ended in a full inked + cross-hatching thing. I also tried out the guided lines in Procreate which I used only on the vertical lines for the shading. I went a bit further on a separated layer on the lovely triceps area: full guided lines with obliques both way to go to almost dark, and the result pleases me. So expect a test with this technic later.

And of course this is an appetizer for tomorrow's humpday coming fas...

It's all digital with Procreate, it looks so... clean (!) compared to my traditional graphite sketching where the paper & most of all my fingers & hands get dirty LOL

Red Hairy Mountains (NSFW)

Bumping (!) into my old stuff, I was pleased to find this illustration: perfect for a throw back thursday. At that time I was experimenting with the colored pencils set someone offered me. The red color you see in not digital: it's the complete drawing scanned here.

Getting all wet! (Step by step)

This one was a long process, starting with the body, I had to redo & verify the proportions. This is insanely hard to get, plus the head bending this way. Then the water & drops, the lake around, but the full thing works out, so I'm really proud of this panel!
