Hey guys! I wanted to send over a look at the new queue & giftshop for Rambley's Railroad! I'm super happy with how this looks. It fits much better than the previous queue, and gives the illusion of "stepping into the ride".
I've got more stuff to show coming up, and I'll be sure to show you some of Chapter 2's progress once it gets moving.

Sorry for the lack of activity here on the Patreon. We've been in the planning phase for Chapter 2, and because of that, there hasn't been much to show.
However, I wanted to give you guys an early look at how we're revamping Chapter 1 as "practice" for Chapter 2. On top of redone first person animations, better controller support, and some accessibility options, we're also making some minor improvements to some of the areas in Chapter 1.

We just got the collectables system fully implemented, so I wanted to show you an early look at how it works. Essentially, the idea is that the player will find items around the park, then bring them to Rambley. Then, Rambley will give you a little bit of information about what the item is. All of the collectables for Chapter 1 are implemented with their voice acting and emotion animations synced. We just need to hide them around the game as we go through and refine environments.

Mollie is easily one of Rambley's best friends until the end! A high-speed, adventure-loving bird who always finds herself in the most silly situations. Despite her crashing habits, she's super knowledgeable in aviation.

Of course, this guy was a little too shy to show himself today, but we love him for that. One of Rambley's best friends, this character is the emotional backbone of the group. When you get him out of his shell, he can be a bit reckless and silly.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been swamped with school work and working my butt off on the game.
In game, all of the big important moments with Rambley will be fully animated like in the trailer. But for smaller, less important interactions, Rambley will use these little talk animations with the player. This is to let our animators focus on the important story parts and to reduce file size so we don't have a ton of complex video files every time Rambley is on screen.

While working on a new menu system, I was playing with the keyboard input for navigating menus. Long story short I plugged in my controller, and woah, half the stuff for input was already in game. So I spent like 20 minutes and all of the player's input so far is working on a controller!
