I've really gotten into this since Sunday! There's something about the aesthetic that I like. Also, not being able to rub out any of the drawing is forcing me to stop overthinking the process and improve my focus. I might develop this further!

Getting close now to the big 100! Finally I can reveal A-Bomb and The Harpy as Rick and Rita's gamma forms. Rick is more of a cross between A-Bomb and Abomination as that classic Hulk villain didn't appear in the cartoon, and I prefer the green colour scheme of the latter character.

I think having Bruce Banners friends mutated into horrible monsters is a dark path a family friendly 80's cartoon would not have gone down, but the point of this project was loosely 'what if the events of ...

The Best of 2025

It's that time again-- My favourite pieces of 2025! Lots to choose from this year as getting my laptop and my youngest child starting school has allowed me more flexibility and time to work. It's been a good year for me, but as ever I want next year to be bigger and better than ever before!

My goals for 2026 are:

To finish or bring near to completion Red Alert (if I keep to my current yearly ratio of pages, that's tough but achievable) .

An idea that Leee and I were playing around with before he went off grid again was a revised origin for Altawoman. Leee wanted to make her more like Superman or Wonder Woman, in that Allie West was just a disguise for her true self. My idea was that Allie was the most recent in a long line of Altawomen, and that her powers had been inherited from her mother. Red Alert Page 97

I just wanted to squeak one more Red Alert page under the door before the end of the year. I didn't quite make it to 100 pages this year, but 97 is close enough! As I mentioned one or two posts ago I recently sat down and plotted out the remainder of the story. Cavegirl Origin Page 14

I'm determined to finish as many of my outstanding/longstanding projects as possible in the coming year. This weekend I finally sat down and just wrote out a detailed synopsis of where Red Alert is going and, crucially, how it will end. I'll say more about that later-- here is a long overdue continuation of another project: The Cavegirl Origin story. There isn't a super amount left to do on this, so hopefully it should be completed by next spring.

There's a small satisfaction in completing this page, because I actually drew this about seven years ago. I was working on (around about) page 69, and although I didn't have a clear idea on how the Stormcry sequence was going to play out, I knew very clearly what I wanted the end result to look like. I've been neglecting Gamma Effect of late! I'm obsessing with Red Alert, Ultimate Trap and the Savages comics -- plus a few other secret projects-- but I really want to get back to this. Next year, I'm definitely going to try and slim down the insane amount of different projects I have going on!

Hot off the press! It's insane how long this took me-- adding all those glowy effects was a really time consuming headache! It's worth it though, I'm pretty pleased with this page!

Titania Train TF

A little prologue to the recent She-Hulk train TF. On board the train, Jennifer Walters unwittingly walks past Mary 'Skeeter' MacPherran, who she knows better as her alter-ego Titania! Skeeter ducks into the bathroom to transform into her larger self and carry out the next stage of her revenge against She-Hulk.

Red Alert Page 93

Some heavy exposition on this page, but I wanted to give a little coda for Arkeville's involvement in the story and set him up for where he's at in the Transformers G1 cartoon. The injuries he sustains from M.O.D.O.K. and the knowledge implanted within his mind by Stormcry are the reason he is part man/part machine in the cartoon. Unless there was a reason for that given in one of those episodes! I don't recall there ever being one-- he's just a generic evil scientist/lackey to the Decepticon...

Red Alert Page 92

Closing in on 100 pages! Here ends Stormcry's section of the story, but it's not entirely the end for him... or what remains of him, anyway. Since I put Red Alert on hiatus six or so years ago I've had everything up to this point mapped out in my head. I've come up with a great final act since resuming work on the project and I can't wait for you to see what comes next!
