Nina in pearls

I met her at the academy, she was posing for me for my first life size project, a female torso. My sculpture Flora was also made from her.

Finally I got to photograph her, and she really inspired me to photograph more women, because it is something I love so much!

Being a woman

is a full of contrasts. About 40 minutes after I took these I was in bed writhing in period pain, waiting for the pill to kick in, so that I can move again.

But in the moment of taking these, bathing in that beautiful light, I felt graceful and elegant.

I will be sharing the second part of this series without the dress a bit later with higher piers. 🥰

Shots I took a few lifetimes ago of the most beautiful Carlotta Champagne in Arizona.

Back then I was just discovering my own creative voice. It's crazy that for many years I didn't think of myself as a creative, only as someone who served other people's creative process. I didn't have enough confidence to realise my ideas, so I would just suggest them to photographers who hired me. The story of my creative self discovery is also a story of a woman embracing her power.

But I don’t share them publically, because they were taken with a man, I’m no longer together. One day I would love to make a sculpture like that though.

In a hayloft

I photographed this Ukrainian beauty awhile back, but never shared the result anywhere. I thought we would look good together so I set the self-timer and hopped in the frame. Hope you like! 

Just a selfie

When I lose weight my body becomes extra curvy, because I have a very round rib cage and strong thighs. The fat from the waist area goes away, bones become more pronounced. I only realised it recently, because I often study anatomy in the mirror.

For those who are still here…

I had a bit of inspiration to explore my form in the morning light.

And I just love human form, my own and of others. I hate that some people make me feel shame for that. Maybe I’ll do a come back

I am so sorry I disappeared for so long. I’ve been thinking about how to go about this page every day that I was quiet. Wild horses

In my whole life I haven’t been feeling so free and wild like I have in Iceland. I just wanted to run and jump and climb every rock. Eric, the photographer, called me a “mountain goat” while we were there for a reason.

I got to meet and work with the beautiful Svala (Icelandic Selkie). She is a living elf, and such a talented model. I will share some of the pictures I took of her as well 🥰

Summertime

First of all,

Sorry I have been quiet here last week! It was the last week at the academy and it’s the craziest one, because we have only 5 day to make the moulds of our sculptures. Mould making is very complicated, messy and time consuming process that takes a lot of physical work, so I feel out of life for a week. But now it’s officially summer holidays and I am excited that would have more time on my personal projects as well be more active on here.

A year at the academy flew by and...

Odesa

These photos are bitter sweet to me, because we shot these series with my dear friend Nastia Gooz almost two years ago in Odesa, when the war was still an unlikely threat, not a brutal reality. These times seem so long time gone. Now the beaches of Odesa region are dangerous and very polluted due to the mines and garbage that got flown with the explosion of the Kakhovka dam. Ecological and humanitarian disaster caused by this war is hard to comprehend.

There is always some kind of magic about the film photography. 

Shot by Tania Artemyeva a few years back. I love working with her, because she always made me feel safe, but sexy and playful. 

This weekend I want to go see Pirelli Calendar Exhibition which is now being held in Barcelona. I hope it will get me inspired to do more film. photography myself.
