Thank you for your suggestions! for starters, I’ll continue the vampire stuff. Essentially in a polygamous relationship. drac has an important part of the story, especially later on, as the first informant of the rebellion. He knew the inner workings of politics in purebloods high-society. He is in a family with lots of financial backing, roots and connections everywhere and possibly an official arms dealer. specialized teeth, long tongue (I’m pushing it there) and general bits.
his teeth were adapted to lacerate skin and pop blood vessels for the maximum spill. Long tongue to lap up the blood in all those little crevices, and with indents and bumps to hold small pools of blood From those crevices.
can echo-locate, smell hormones (blood adaptation) and have excellent hearing and eyesight (true for vampire bats) and a good sense of smell of course. ...

first part is accurate to vampire bats, but I added ridges and indents (if I ever get to draw it in detail) so that blood can pool in the mouth as a tiiinny extra.
