Boy did this comic go through a DRAMATIC CHANGE. But clearly I was set on making this a Barry Friendly comic from the very beginning. Bloody love Barry.

The original draft was quite messy and hard to follow, frantically darting between inner monologues and e-mail conversation. It overcomplicated things, it's good to streamline narrative methods where possible, especially when dealing with such a short story. A good compression example here. There was a lot of unnecessary text here, felt very spoonfeedy so whittled it down.

This was a special comic. Because not only was it one of the special few that made me laugh out loud thinking it up and playing it out in my head. But it's the one time I found myself laughing out loud WHILE POSTING IT. No other comic I've made has achieved that level of self-amusement.

Just the idea of forcing this horrible concept onto people's feeds out of nowhere. Maybe that says something about me. That I revel in the comments of disgust more than ones of praise.

I was very happy with this one! I enjoyed drawing this one, especially for the shading and the dynamic angles throughout, it came out great IMO. And one of the rare occasions where I slapped an olive colour layer over the whole thing to give it that OL TIMEY LOOK. It was tempting to go full monochrome but I'd already coloured in the whole comic full-colour and seemed a shame for that to go to waste. 8^) I guess in general this comic was a bit of an anomaly, the characters heads aren't even round...

Devbulge - Game stuff

Remember the sexy trees? THEY GOT REDONE TO LOOK EVEN SEXIER. Turns out the lack of outline didn't go down too well with the outlined style of the characters and tbh in general I feel I'm not well-versed enough in creating nice looking things without using outlines. And I figure I'm already throwing myself in the deep end as it is with this game so it's probably a good idea to stick to my strengths as much as possible to ensure a solid QUALITY EXPERIENCE.

Early draft of the BISICKLE TRAINING comic that I soon regretted not calling AIR SICKNESS. Definitely happy with the last minute changes that were made given the short space of time I had to make this one. I mean sure, jumping over people is pretty sick, but not FIRE RING SICK \m/ \m/

I noticed when I drew the final version that you don't see the bottom outline of the dad's arms in the last panel. So in the final it looks like he's suddenly built up some MAD MASS.

YES, YOU HEARD RIGHT. For the first time ever I have recorded the entire drawing process and have sped it up into one nifty little 15 minute video which I have overdubbed with some COMMENTARY that may or may not be a RAMBLING MESS OF ME STRUGGLING TO FORM SENTENCES. Bookmark Scans

Hell yeah. Here's the pencil, inked and finished stages of MY BOOKMARK that comes free with Prettier on the Outside. As you can see I drew significantly more than was necessary but WHATEVER. I was really happy with this and I feel it still holds up today so when I run out of these bookmarks I will probably GET MORE.

Vintage Bulge [Scan Date: 17th Dec 2014]

Throwback to when I drew everything on A3 paper. I liked to make the most out of every sheet so would often use all the space. So here we have a mesh of multiple comics and various website graphics that I still use today lol. As you can see I also used the margin space to redraw particular text I wasn't happy with or to write the same text but in BOLD or NOT IN BOLD so I had an option when scanning in and wouldn't have to scan in a second time if I changed my mind.
