So, I'm brainstorming ideas to infuse more interaction and personality into the end credits. This was a challenging episode to produce. I really struggled to find the right balance between what I CAN do as a video editor and what it makes practical sense to do. I could have finished three episodes in the time it took me to do this one. I think this episode might hold the record for the fastest completion time from start to finish. I clocked it in at around 8 hours. As usual, I didn't second guess any writing decisions and just performed exactly what I wrote. I will admit, DT made me chuckle to myself more than a few times. This episode was tricky for a multitude of reasons. It's a holiday special, for one, and it's also the return of a Legendary Patron for 2, but the biggest challenge was managing the heavy number of speaking characters. It didn't take as much time as the Christmas Special by a long shot, but it was far more complicated to assemble. Happy Chinese New Year! Lunar New Year's Eve is Jan 28th, the day this episode will go public. Here in Taiwan (where I live), it's the most celebrated holiday. It's amazing to me how many holidays happened to fall on Tuesdays and Thursdays this year! I had a lot of fun recording the lines for this one.
