Final Fantasy 6 - Final?

Hey!

Here's the full image mostly complete! I just need to do some individual color adjustments on each of the characters and maybe a little touch ups here and there, but I'd say it's pretty much done! I'm very happy with it, I can wait to do all the minor work and post it up.

Final Fantasy 6 - All Characters Completed!

I'm so happy to finally be at this stage, all the characters are painted and now all that's left is color adjusting per each character and then the background. It took seemingly forever to get this one all wrapped up character-wise, but it feels great to be here, so close to the finish line. Anyway, I hope you like it so far, now it's only a matter of working out the small stuff!

Quick update of the piece so far, here's Celes & Relm! I'll probably do some color adjustments and small things here and there with them later, but mostly complete. Now all that's left is Sabin & Mog. After all the characters are done I'm going to do some gold designs behind them all.

Terra - Final Fantasy 6

Hey!

Hope you're well! Here's the latest update to the Final Fantasy 6 piece, Terra. I'm very happy to have completed her as I felt she was likely the most time consuming aside from the characters I've already completed. From here on out things get relatively easy which is a great feeling. I've got 5 characters left, but, since Mog is super easy,  I've basically only got 4 haha.

Sketch - Robot Head PSD

Hope you're doing well! I got more coming on the Final Fantasy 6 piece, but I did this today to warm up for a concept art job and figured I'd share the PSD with you all incase it's helpful! This was almost entirely done in Clip Studio, I used two adjustment layers in Photoshop to play with the colors, but that's it. Final Fantasy 6 - Locke, Umaro, Edgar, Setzer

So, made some headway on this piece the past few days. I managed to wrap up Locke, Umaro, Edgar and Setzer. I'm really happy with it all coming together, only 6 characters left(Mog is hardly any work, so really only 5). I attached all the images as well so you can download and look through. Also, the background is turned black so that they're easier to see since the background isn't finished yet.

Final Fantasy 6 - Painting Setzer

Hey!

I had some time today so I painted more of Setzer's intricate outfit! It's very rewarding to see the finals of these characters come together but it is definitely detail heavy, but that's just Amano's designs. I'm happy to do my best and hopefully bring some justice to the original look. I'll try and get more done on the in the next couple days! Hope you enjoy the video!

Final Fantasy 6 - Painting Process Begins!

Here's a quick look at how things are coming along with the final painting process. Each character is separated on layers that stack on top of each other as well as separate from the background. I do this so I can lay in a black background behind the characters to accurately read my values instead of being blinded a bit by the bright orange/red background I have on there currently. This took a lot longer than I thought, mostly because I'm trying to stick to accurately recreating Amano's designs while also integrating the sprite designs/colors and hopefully bringing them all together as one. I tried to combine Amano's renditions with the sprites from the game so that they felt true to memory but also true to both sources.
