"We will be in port in 30 minutes," a sailor informed me and immediately went to inform other passengers. I watched as he went. There was something pleasing about sailors and how unapologetically efficient they were.
It kind of reminded me of home, but I still had many months before I could get back. Packing everything up in my cabin, I felt the weight of the full bags when I walked to the deck to see my destination: a port town that was nearest t...

I watched as more and more of my creatures left my dungeon. It was nice that I could still see them, but soon they would be out of my range. Why did this feel so sad, yet I was also proud of them for wanting to go out and experience the wider world.
Hopefully, eventually, I could be so big that no one would want to leave me, but even then, I know that some would, simply because it would be something different than being inside my dungeon....

The 26th floor was officially done. Everything is triple-checked, and while I’m sure we will find mistakes when adventurers start testing everything, that's part of the process of making an excellent experience for them. The real problem is that they haven't even reached the end of the 25th floor yet, though they are getting close.
Even on the 25th floor, only the truly powerful adventurers push forward. Currently, the main mass of adve...

The second bug playroom was shaping out to be a true mix of biomes. In fact, this was the first time that I actually made magma caves. It seems that a few species evolved to live in such environments.
My main focus still remained on the large dungeon room that’s meant for the adventurers. While my mind wasn't fully focused on it, it still took me about a month to find the perfect sand grain size and the different mixtures of sand types that would make it a nightmare for a...

It hadn’t been long since I finished expanding the 26th floor. My work was interrupted by bug guy. He had been incredibly busy helping set up the Academy because of all the changes we needed to do thanks to the knowledge he brought.
He was now helping out with our guild. In doing so, he once again started to fight inside the dungeon, and with his healed body, it didn't take long for him t...

My design team was scrambling. From my estimation, we needed nearly 2000 instances of floor one and a lot more instances up to floor 11. After that, I would like to keep the number of rooms the same as I currently have.
There were so many way stations not occupied by guilds but by parties with five members or less. With the number of new adventurers projected to come, this should be fixed in the next few decades.

I looked out from my balcony. There was just something so relaxing about viewing the world from so high up. Once again, there was peace as I wasn’t in the middle of a huge city. The location in the mountains where I had my manor built still had a view of the city, which I was appreciative of.
It was a good thing to remind myself why I was doing all of this. It certainly wasn't for myself, not anymore. I already had everything I ever would have w...

Hiring bug guy has been the best decision for the Academy I’ve made. In just two weeks, he has advanced the purpose of the Academy by about two or three years. We were doing things so slowly before, step by step, as we didn't have any reference points on how to actually do what we wanted to do. But now we had perhaps one of the only experts in this field that existed.
He had been retrieving and observing patterns his entire life, and for quite a while, working on getting ...

Everyone started to slowly vacate the room that the bug guy was in. He would still need a little bit of time to properly recover, but it was now only a question of time before he was fully recovered.
I kind of wanted to hear his story, as there were a few things that I didn't understand. Now I could ask those questions by communicating what I wanted to ask to my creatures or monsters, but I wanted to be more direct.
I knew there were skills that would all...

While I was expanding the 25th floor, life in my dungeon and around it didn’t stop. It was absolutely wonderful. I could never imagine how boring it would be if I just had adventurers to look at, and a lot fewer of them than I currently have. Thanks to everything I have achieved, I have a tremendous amount of adventurers to observe, not only during delving but also while they were living their normal lives.
It could be argued that their normal lives would be boring compar...

Finally, the terrain of the 24th-floor playroom was done. Overall, it took less time than I was expecting, but I guess with every advancement, even if I don’t enhance my skills, I got better at doing everything. The 24th floor ended up being a bit over 13,000 kilometres in length, a bit over 11,000 in width, and 1,900 in height.
Now it was time to start bringing over plant life. About 50% of the plant life would be coming from the other playrooms, while the rest I would b...

So, that didn’t go as I thought. But I understand why the orcs decided to join in on the fight. Safe zones were really valuable in the 19th-floor playroom.
It did take them quite a while to figure out where all of the safe zones were located. When they chose a location, I decided to grant them mercy and make that first destination the end of their quest.
It's still a bit annoying that I need to micromanage multiple-ch...

I was still nervous about these giant orcs. It was hard for me to understand why they were called that because they looked nothing like the few orcs I've seen who are adventurers. Their skin was a lot darker, and only in the light can you see that it's actually dark green; otherwise, you would think they were black. They are on average larger than humans, but not like these huge beings walking beside us.

I needed to pull back my focus on this historic event. Vinny seems to be quite good at sensing when I focus too much on them, but I’m pretty sure that Sandy and Ziiipe were able to feel me as well. It's just that this is so exciting. When their first conversation finished, they started to walk back to their kills. The orcs guided them, which helped their party learn how to deal with proper corpses.

After having brought back my core floor guardians and watching the last of the rebellion's strongholds being destroyed, it was time to start properly expanding the 24th floor. I had already started the mana-gathering process to advance to the next floor. There was a need to be careful because, from the amount of mana I was generating, if I focused on keeping all of it, I would break quite fast from the overload.

It was so satisfying. It must be so painful for the dungeon as we melted its very being. Too soon, the beam cut off as the device cracked and then started to melt.

I have a big worry. I think I need a break from writing Homesteading in a fantasy world for a little while. The story just isn't flowing like I am used to and I don't know how to fix it. There might also be a bit of a block because the story is coming to an end. I have never liked when stories end even if I understand why it's needed. Informing the general and a few other people about the second entrance was a little bit nerve-wracking. Fortunately, right now they didn't question anything and were just glad that we still had access to the dungeon. Almost immediately, supply lines were set up between the two hub stations so we could get supplies and, more importantly, fresh soldiers to those places.
