Happy Caturday from Oshun and Decatur
We have been waiting a long time for this moment, but it’s finally here! We have been able to reunite Momo with his family group that he arrived from the fur farm with. He has been away from them since the beginning of January due to his trip to the emergency hospital and his issues with seizures. He’s been alone in quarantine since then because we also needed to have him neutered (originally gendered as a female, so he was never neutered) before joining the group again. The surgery was r...

Hey guys, Russ here. I realized I was getting a little heavy handed with the edits so here is a (mostly) natural photo session.
I've been playing with the lenses I have and considering getting some better ones. Also considering getting some lens covers and filters.
I lowered the resolution of the images and used a more obvious but less obnoxious watermark.
Let me know what you guys think!
I get a lot of good photos of these two but I don't share them very often. These two are absolutely beautiful and worth sharing!

I am giving you this news with the heaviest of hearts...our beloved Felix has passed away unexpectedly. It was the most heartbreaking thing for me, I laid with him for hours under his tree when I found him there. This hurts so much to write, and I still haven't come to terms with it. I love him so dearly, and I know you care about him too. This death has been incredibly hard on our entire team of animal care takers.
When going through the pain of his loss I couldn't handle the pressure of ...
If you guys saw the easter video you may have seen these guys already but I got some adorable photos of these guys and couldn't help but share them!

Howdy everyone! Russ here,
Sorry about no upload last week. I didn't bring my camera and had a bit of a rough week with all the snow we got.
This week I got some decent photos. I also did a little more editing than normal. It's definitely obvious on most of these but I'm still working on it. Currently getting some practice with free tools. I've never edited photos before because I always like the raw original photo but I thought it would be good to practice.
Heya everyone, Russ here.
Ruby still isn't my biggest fan. She LOVES me when I have treats, but once the treats run dry this is how she responds.
(She was NOT biting hard at all. I'd be tempted to say she wasn't even biting. Just displaying her displeasure.)
These guys just touched ground for the first time at their new home in Arizona. They're at Keepers of the wild if you would like to see more 🥰
They loved getting to run around and explore for the first time.

Ok so it's only one photo of her but I haven't seen her in the daylight in some time and thought that was worth celebrating

Gidget (aka Gigi) joined Callie and Dimika with very smooth intros! She is settling in well as she learns her new life with us. She was an owner surrender.
Zhivalgo the raccoon joined us from SAF Mn! She is still not sure of us, but we are super excited to have her here and ready to spoil her!

Howdy everyone! Russ here.
Admittedly this week was a bit disappointing for me photo wise. I only got 7 photos in before I ran out of time. So I decided to try my hand at doing some touchups and minor edits.
Here are some old photos I decided to try and touch up and make a bit more pretty. Admittedly these were a bit rushed but they were my first attempt at editing photos and make them a bit more pretty
Let me know what you all think. I know my editing needs some practice...

Howdy yall! Russell here. I didn't change much from last week except I attempted a couple more settings that also didn't work out. The learning process is incredibly frustrating.
I also attempted a way to stabalize the camera without the tripod that worked quite well I'd say. Otherwise it's the same story as last week. A slight filter to increase saturation. I brought the watermark opacity down quite a bit too so hopefully it isn't as distracting
I also added captions with name...
This sweetheart has only been here for a week but has already adapted quite well and is showing her true colors. I couldn't help but feel she deserved a little extra time in the spotlight!

Decatur is enjoying the nice Florida weather sitting on his porch swing. Or Florida cats have their own screened in porch to hang out on whenever they want. I tried very hard to get a picture of Decatur with his eyes opened but he had other plans. He has what we assum are seasonal allergies that we are constantly trying to mend. We have tried many different diets and litter with him to see if that would help.
But most importantly he is very happy and well loved every day!
Silky and Trixie are having a blast with their new tunnel!!

Howdy everyone! Russell here,
This week I got a few better photos including our star citizen Finny!
I used some custom settings this week but unfortunately they didn't quite turn out as well as I hoped so I had to go back to my settings from last week.
As far as editing, this week I used a mild filter to increase saturation to make colors pop more and I made the watermarks in the background a bit more visible. Let me know if it's too distracting.
She was a emergency surrender. She is 6 years old and was very loved. Unfortunately her owner found herself in a situation where she and her Fox didn't have a place to live. She wanted to make sure Stella was assured a good home.
These situations are very sad for the owner and us. I don't like having to separate foxes from people they are bonded to 😔

These babies will be heading to Florida soon. You'll be able to see more of them then! 🥰

Howdy everyone, Russell here.
I recently purchased my first camera that wasn't my phone (Canon rebel EOS T3) and plan on practicing my photography on the foxes every week.
These 9 are the best from my first practice attempt. I'm still playing around with the settings and trying to figure out how to use it.
These are the full sized photos with no filters or airbrushing.
Muttias was in a very affectionate mood and kept flopping over for some belly rubs.
I managed to catch the last 18 or so seconds of this.

Both are looking great except the wear and tear on Penguin’s teeth. He has no issues eating at the moment, but something we will watch closely with him. He was a gentle soul at the vet though! Piper definitely has some spunk to her lol! The muzzles are always applied as a general rule for the safety of their staff.
