True reds for Tuesday
Did you know that the majority of foxes here at save a fox rescue are red fox species? We also have two Arctics who are the blue kind and we also have one grey fox.
The red fox comes in a multitude of different colour morphs and today I thought it would be really nice for us to highlight our true reds; they are the colour morph we have the fewest of and I managed to get some really nice pictures of them this morning.
Can you name them all?

This enclosure is home to Yawari our South American Opossum!
Opossum's are marsupials (Animals with a pouch)
Yawari is nocturnal and doesn't like people.
She prefer her solitude
January and Fox behaviour
It's mating season for the Red Fox species; and even though our foxes get fixed they still get hormonal and absolutely bonkers this time of year. Esmae is usually known for being one of our sweetest foxes here. But not lately! She has been extra food aggressive and a major bully to all the other foxes in her yard.
While all of the foxes try to remain on her good side, the staff here at SAVEAFOX also can't wait for her to simmer down.

We’ve posted this on our social media but I want to give you guys the in-depth info on this sweet girl and why we are pushing so very hard to find her a home.
She is 6 years old, she was born here at the rescue and was adopted. At the end of last year, during a divorce, she was abandoned in the house she grew up in for weeks. One of the parties involved in that divorce went to get her and decided to keep her but after this traumatic experience, she didn’t get on with their young ch...
