Where do we go from here?

As 0.5.0 is wrapping up (I'm so close to done I want to chug a bottle of champagne to celebrate) we thought it would be a good idea to ask you what to work on next.

Post 0.4.8 update

Settings Options for Accessibility

Hi folks,

In an effort to make the game as accessible as possible, Kazeto wants to work on a few things to ease use for players who are color-blind. We've discussed a few options that can be enabled from the Settings menu. The options are:

-Enable a tooltip that will display the speaker whenever you hover over speech. 

-Enable a palette swap of the major speech colors. (would need input on colors we should use)

0.4.8 has been sent out for bug-testing

Hi folks,

The next update has been sent to the testers. The current plan is to give them a week and a half, and have the update go live on 03/23/2018. If things go reallyyyyyy smoothly it could go up sooner. 

The further the game goes the harder it is to know if every bug has been caught or not, but the goal is to limit - as much as we possibly can - how many you all encounter when an update goes live.

New Custom Theme in the Works

Hi everyone,

Kazeto is working on a custom theme design for people who aren't fans of the standard black background. It's a wood/leather background theme with gold hyperlinks, but we're looking for ideas for an alternative color.

0.4.65 is close to done!

Hi everyone,

Testing/proofing began in earnest a few days ago. There's a whole new coding structure being introduced, which has naturally conflicted with some of the old code in place, but it's going to both make game dev easier AND change the user experience. I'll talk more about it when the update is released.

I'm still writing the final scene for 0.4.65, but we're on track for release on 02/16. Check back on 02/14, though, for some delightful fun.

Calling for proofreaders for the next update

Hi everyone,

The next update is about ready. A few people mentioned interest in bug-testing future versions; there shouldn't be any bugs in the next update (that's not a challenge, I'm sure some of you will prove me wrong), so this update will need mostly proofreading (spelling, grammar, punctuation).

The big thing here is that I won't be too involved with this step. Anyone who wants to proofread will need to work directly with Kazeto; you'll have to be comfortable ...

I'm an idiot

Like an idiot, I didn't make the update a paid post, which means I won't get paid for it. So I'm reverting the payment plan back to the first of the month; it'll be 10 days late when everyone is charged, which I apologize for.

Hi everyone, just a brief status update: 0.4.5 is looking like the largest update so far. Status Update for 0.4.0

Hi everyone,

V 0.4.0 is nearing completion. My goal is to have it ready by the 20th, at the earliest. I apologize that it's a few days past when I thought it would be ready; for future releases I may have to tweak my deadline schedule, or make the updates slightly smaller. All it takes is a busy week and then it feels like I'm playing catch-up. Between that and trying to do some new things with this update, it just didn't progress as quickly as I wanted.
