I tried to make a procedural material that had a variety of skin texture to it and something that breaks up the specular part of the material in an appealing way. This is a bit of complicated material setup that would be kind of boring to explain (unless you all want that!)
But the idea is using some vertex colors to determine what type of skin is where:

I've added hair along the back, fixed a couple things, redid the tail hole a bit, added a tongue and started working on face controls.
I find this method, while using a lot of bones, is the best way to get very precise control over how the eyelids move across the eyeballs (each bone controls one vertex, and they shrink wrap to an eye proxy mesh so they always stay above the eyeball)...

I've been trying to figure out the best topology to fit the dragon's pose range. I want a balance between something humanoid and something feral. I redid the shoulder and chest area's topology and the deformation is better, but it still has some problems! One of the difficult parts of modeling and rigging anything is the shoulders...

Update: moved image into post body.

I think now, the sound and such are quite acceptable. Next, I'll be putting everything into the real scene, though I'm going to try a couple different moods. Like maybe it's dark, and the bronto has color changing RGB lights :p or it's sunset/sunrise, and there's golden light peaking through the window.

The most enjoyable and productive part of animation is waiting for a simulation, it's not good, changing one tiny thing and doing it all over again! ... said no one :p
In the mean time I've been doodling some ideas for a kobold character for the next animation. Which do you like the most?

I'm pretty excited about something I figured out! One of the big issues with the Flip Fluids blender add-on is that drivers don't affect anything on it- I use drivers a ton for things. For example I use bone scale and drivers to determine what objects the tailhole should be shrink wrapped to.

I've gone and update the tiers. This doesn't affect any current patrons! I've unpublished the dollar slice tier and renamed it "Legacy dollar slice." Originally, the dollar slice tier had access to WIP content, finished stuff and voting in polls (The legacy dollar slice remains this way).

I added in fabric rustling sounds, some couch thumps and wood creaking sounds. The furniture I was recording with isn't as creaky as I'd like, so... I found some CC0 sounds to use. This sound:

Man I just want to say thanks to everyone for the support. I can't believe how things have blown up recently.
As part of the frozen pizza tier, I ask patrons for permission/what name they want to use in the special thanks. I haven't re-rendered the thanks part for the final version of the AV animation yet because since the last one I did, there was a bazillion more people. There's gonna be some attachments- 2 voice tests and 2 recording previews.
The sound tests are awkward- it's *just* the voice, no plaps/squish/sploops/whatever sounds. Those sounds will be added after I've finalized the animation. For those sounds, it's better, performance wise, to do those without blender being bogged down by a 3d scene.
For the voice, it has to be done with the 3d scene since the character's mouth/expressions and such depend on it. I'm also trying to make it so...

I've blocked out the whole animation and all that will happen- I was able to animate the POV insertion part successfully:

This is kind of funny though, since I'm only animating what the camera sees (in first-person-shooter vision), I only animate the body a bit. You'll see something that makes sense, but behind the scenes it's just... the lamest animation :p

I'm not sure yet how much this would add to an animation, the head logo thing animating on the bottom left, but it'll be a fun experiment. I'll be rendering the frames to easily to just, place in Blender's video editor where I'd like the animation to change...

This is a pretty rough preview of the POV animation. I'm mostly focusing on blocking things out, getting the eggs to not have clipping problems, though the end isn't in yet. That is, if I get the POV insertion looking good :x not sure about it yet, but I'll try my best!

This is a quick sound test with some sounds I captured originally for the lil' dragon sound test from a bit ago. It's a combination of various sounds: food, non-food, and flesh light sounds, including stirring some home mode macaroni and cheese (I make a very thick cheese sauce from butter, sour cream and a TON of cheddar cheese and when stirring the noodles in, it sounds quite... lewd squishy)
Pretty much any pasta with thick sauce can sound lewd...
