I scribbled some sea life during the CUSH stream last night. It was...really relaxing. And extremely necessary. These are for my homie Dee, also known as BacksliderDee2. She loves sea life, manta rays being her favorite.

Hey hey. Been a minute since i shared a WIP 😅
SO here's something I worked on yesterday: Blu. It's a blue shell at the blue sanded beach.
I did work from reference, which can be seen in the first "in progress" photo. I think it might be a lighting welk, but it could also be a pear welk. I genuinely don't even remember when I got this. I just know I've had it for years -- close to a decade, if not already.

Hello!
New circular piece - we call it lollipop.
I did a textured background with different shades of yellow. Then I taped it all and cut a spiral, painted that blue, teal, green, and a lil florescent yellow. Then cut another spiral and painted that orange, red, peach and yellow. Then I put pearlescent white and gold on the spirals.
I might do more. But right now I'm waiting for it to dry so I can seal it or do something else.

I'm really struggling with these posts. But I'm getting there.
Here's something a started today. It's a window flower box outside of a lavender colored home. The canvas is 5" circle. I really like these circular canvases. I will be getting more of them.
I'm not sure what inspired me to paint this but I think I like where it's going. I think I might do a bit of black outline to help it along. I think... We'll see.

I think I'm gonna prioritize making more cards to sell after I finish a couple of things. I enjoy painting them more than a lot of other things. Watercolor and gouache are so.... I'm failing to find the word. But they bring me joy. I love seeing how the watercolor bleeds and blends together. And gouache is like... the opacity of acrylic with the thinness of watercolor. So interesting~

I have been trying to get these paintings sealed for weeks. I bought new varnish spray to try out and I just can't get it to gloss up?? I'm not sure what to do here. But I'm frustrated. Wow. It's actually Wednesday.
Today I'm talkin bout the elbows n biceps. I'm not sure what inspired this but I really wanted to paint a random disembodied body part.
The arms were first drawn in teal paint. Then I filled in the blues n greens n realized I wanted more purples. So I've been working on this every now n then. I like the cool shades on the heat of the background. I like orange...
