The other day I had this idea that it could be fairly (if not totally) compatible to add easy JSON reading to Tasker and today I tried it out! :)
In this version of Tasker, if you have a local variable with some JSON data in it you can easily read it with the dot notation!
For example:

Here's my current idea for Tasky, a very simplified version of Tasker that anyone can use.
The idea is that when a user first installs Tasker they get a choice of Tasky, or full blown Tasker.
If they choose Tasky, they'll get what you see in the video. Users will be able to switch between the 2 versions at will.
Of course this is all very early and will most probably change when the final version is out but I thought I could share what my ideas for it are so far.
Long story short, the host of the All About Android podcast invited me to be on and so I was :)
