Hello!
Thanks again for your support! Just thought I'd give you some updates on why this video is taking longer than usual to make. I am sorry for not posting too much lately and I want to be more transparent with what I am doing with the current project/post another preview for you all tomorrow here :)
So far, the project has originally started as just an exploration of why cool UIs are not really a thing in mainstream gaming anymore (I started from the example of the Colin McRae...

Hello!
Thanks again for your support!
So, the current project right now with me working on it and kinda falling into the rabbit hole has turned from a more negative pov (who killed uis?) into a more positive one (why were uis good before in the first place?): this is not really out of anything if not only the fact that I think (and will mention in the intro part) that we all know why games are getting worse (mostly money and every single technique used to squeeze every last cent o...

Hey! Quick text only update to again thank you for your support and also to address my little activity later: I have been having the most bizzarre issues with this project, namely the fact that I now have to rework an entire part which was originally built upon commenting some footage/material related to the topic (it's a video about UIs and I go into design and Wipeout's influence on basically everything that came after it and I am talking for a bit about the whole alternative music scene in...

Just wanted to give you all a quick update not only on the next video (the UI one) but also about how stuff is going in general (and again, as always, thanks for your support since your support is the reason why I can do all of this), this is just going to be a stream of consciousness with some updates about what you are going to see next/some random neat stuff I just want to tell you ig h...

Hello!
Thank you as always for your support,
so, as you know, I am currently working on the Stuntman/why the game is impossible to emulate and I have been planning to release it soon, however, due to a new Stuntman game apparently having been just announced and also me wanting to triple check a lot of the minute details in the technical parts of the video, I have decided to put it on hold for now and actually release another video first (which I was also working on and off while I...

Hey!
The break went well and helped me a lot, but now it's time to get back to work, so let me get you all up to speed!
I am going to try to wrap up and upload the floating point/Stuntman video before the end of this month, since it's mostly complete and I only need to finish the last 35%/polish it
Right after that, I do have a few options when it comes to topics for the next one but I haven't decided yet: I have been experimenting with a lot of different st...

Hey!
Thanks again so so much for your support.
After posting 3 videos in a row super close to one another, due to personal reasons I won't get in detail because they are not just personal but frankly quite boring and not that interesting I need to take a small break of around a month from working on videos.
I will be back as soon as possible (this is not burnout or anything, material reasons stop me from being able to work on quality videos right now and I don't want and wil...

Hey! This is my new video, where I test the Supercard DSTWO, a DS flashcart with a literal computer inside of it: I ended up working on it in parallel with the past one (the KORG one) and not being able to update you a lot while I was working on it, but I can give you access to it before anyone else while the sponsor still has to approve it! (feel free to skip that sponsored segment btw, it goes from 2:54 to 4:34)
The video is finished already, I need to add some details and ...

As a small preview here is a part from the next video, testing the various patches from M01 for the DS: still needs some touch ups but it's 90% there
I am shooting for a release of the full video TOMORROW if everything goes according to plan so stay tuned!!!
EDIT: There's been a slight delay so it's taking a bit more time to edit than I initially planned, but it's gonna be out soon!

Hey!
So, I was supposed to post another video at the end of April, however due to me catching a fever and being unable to edit, I have postponed it to the next few days.
The video is going to be about Korg M01 and Korg M10D for the DS and 3DS respectively, and how you can pretty effectively make music on them and export it to midi to refine it on a proper DAW like Ableton/do whatever you want with that MIDI... including playing it on a midi floppy disk boombox, which we'll explore...

The next video is going to be about Neighbours From Hell! A series of games that was kind of a core memory for me and a lot of people that I know irl and is a weird mix of puzzle and stealth mechanics in a 2D kinda slapstick environment. I have noticed that despite it being HUGE in Europe back in the early naughts a lot of people in the US or even UK have no idea of what I am talking about when I mention it sooooo here we go! You're gonna have a video about it/the whole game series ready next...

Managed to get everything basically everything working already, I just need to clean it up and connect everything to the actual back of the case instead of having the cables hanging out like this lol and I also need to do some more tests when it comes to ethernet and audio but yup this is already one of the best things I have ever built in my entire life
Thanks again for your support and I can't wait to upload the full finished video about how I designed and built this very soon!...

Hey!
Thanks again for your support!
So, as promised, here's a detailed written overview of how I'm handling the iMac screen/dock project that I'm currently working on, which will be the next video on the channel.
I'll be posting small video previews once they're ready, but since I'm actively working on the project and shooting daily, here's a quick rundown of what I'm doing right now.
As you can see from previous posts, the core idea is simple, and it's basically a sca...

Not too long ago I made a post here telling you the next project I wanted to work on was transforming an iMac G5 (even though after getting it I found out the seller accidentally sent me an Intel iMac which from the outside is almost identical but drastically changes the insides making it a bit harder to do what I want potentially) completely by taking out the insides from a broken one and replacing them with a new modern display and somehow wiring the ports on the back to make it into a one ...

Thanks again for your support! I just wanted to update you all on what I’m working on:
I have completed a second video for February that was originally supposed to be live today. In this video, I managed to run PC Crysis and several other games (including Fallout: New Vegas 👀) on an Android phone locally—no streaming or anything. However, due to timing issues and waiting on Redmagic (who sponsored it and helped me out by sending the necessary hardware), there was a delay.
I...

Here are the first 4 minutes of the squeezebox video! The audio need some touches (there are some weird spaces at the end between some sentences) and I need to fix some other small stuff but as promised here's a sneak peek!

Hey!
Thanks again for all of the support!!!
Here is a quick update on what I am currently working on:
in February, I plan to post two videos, with the first one being about the SqueezeBox and Lyrion Media Server, a Logitech technology that originally goes back to the YEAR 2000 designed to stream music inside your house from your computer to several small "clients" in the form of radios and hi-fi units (or even iPod looking things like the one pictured here) that just like Ha...

Heyyyy
So, for this month I am actually working on two videos: the second one has been a project that I have been working on and off for a few months now and despite it being a "short" video it is one of the craziest things that I have done online so far, and unfortunately, for it to work the way it is intended to work I can't for now tell you what it is about (i swear, you'll get it when it's out). I am, however, recording some behind the scenes stuff and 3d animation work that i will ...

Hey!
As always thanks again for being here and supporting what I do! You are the reason I can afford to live doing what I love and I am deeply grateful to all of you for that.
2024 has been a fantastic year for the channel: the growth has been insane and I can't thank you all enough for that, really.
The next video is coming soon, I am just waiting on sponsor approval since Bambu Labs provided me with everything I needed to finally realize an idea I have had for a while (bui...

In the next video I am building a webcam from scratch! The design is going to be based on the PiSight (more specifically, the updated version made the Raspberry Pi team) and I have had this video idea for a while now but I could not really do anything until last month since it requires some 3D printing. Thankfully, Bambu Labs reached out and sent me 2 printers and now I can finally get to work!

Hey!!!
Haven't posted here in a while, so here's a 8 min sneak peek from the next video (the one about that keitai phone I imported from Japan): a quick rundown of NTT Docomo's history and how they were directly involved with the creation of keitais (... and also our modern smartphone world, indirectly)
Took me a lot of time to research most of this (all of the info about the pagers is only available in japanese) but now that this is mostly assembled (you will see some fra...

Hey!
So, since the next video is about keitais and about the japanese phone industry, I am working on some 3D animations as b-roll for when I talk about the history of NTT, DoCoMo and how Japan reached the point where their electronics industry was building "galapagos keitais" that were so wildly different compared to what we had in the west that their actual name was compared to the galapagos is...

Soooooo since the video about the quirky japanese laptop was scrapped because it... well... died, let's move over to the next one: a quirky japanese... phone!
A few months ago I have imported this Docomo Sharp SH-01J, which is a flip phone running Android 5.1.1 with some very interesting features (no touchscreen for example, but the BUTTONS WORK AS A TOUCHPAD LIKE IN A LAPTOP TO EMULATE TOUCH, it's kind of insane).
I have managed to unlock it and make it work with european phone f...

Hey!
Due to some irl stuff that's been happening lately (nothing bad, but a bit time consuming) I had to slow down a bit when it comes to shooting, writing and editing in the past few weeks.

Thanks as always for supporting the channel! You are the reason why I have been, for the past year, able to fully concentrate on the channel and post videos monthly (or at least try my best to do it somewhat reliably, I don't want to burn out), this has been a great year so far and I am super happy to be able to do what I love exactly how I want to do it.

First minute of my next video, just for you here!
This is again a thank you for your support, I am trying to scale up my production quality again (i managed to even hire a voice actor for the sketch here at the start of the video) and you are genuinely helping me so much
The vid should be out by this week, it's been taking a while and it is a look at the entire HD DVD vs Blu-Ray saga + a retrospective on the HD-DVD format itself
So yeah, thanks again and stay tuned!
