This squid just can't get enough my boys! And poor Marco is receiving a lot of attention from this curious squid's tentacles exploring not only his body but also inside him!. I've always been fascinated by tentacle themed pictures! Mostly because its actually really hard to get them right, in both drawing and painting. I tried to make this more complicated and challenge by not doing smooth tubular tentacles. Instead I wanted actual squid tentacles with suckers and all! Which made this so much more time consuming to do but I think it came out incredibly well!

This was a pretty interesting shoot to do in that the lighting should be what i really wanted - but I think I may have over done it and it got a bit boring towards the end! Variety is the spice of life! In fact i took over 170 pictures in this shoot! So i definitely had to curate 20 for the series! So there will be many to show in next months Best of Lens and Extras.

Wow so the first week of the month is always mired with Admin work and Best of Lens , which is all completed out now and available to Tier 4s.
I won't deny that i felt a bit down towards the end of last month - it just felt like for all the hard work poured into the sculpture there just wasn't much a return and development just got harder and harder.

So a few weeks back we were hit by a typhoon, it was also the same day that we were meant to go to Water World Adventure! Fortunately for us the tickets were rescheduled and it was by far a much sunnier day this week!

Now I've not been to Ocean Park since i was like 10 - so this was a revisit severely overdue! And for those of you that aren't aware; Ocean Park is one of 2 theme Parks in Hong Kong (the other one being Disney Land!).

This set was sooo hard to get right and even now I'm not completely happy with it - but there's some very interesting quality of the sharpness of the images.
The problem with the set up was that the lighting from the party lights caused the camera to lose focus - so many of the images weren't even useable.
