HOW BRAIN DUMP IS MADE: FINAL STEP
I'm on the homestretch at this point! SWF files are exported out from Flash and brought into After Effects. I usually export animation on different separate layers so I can add effects like Goofball's glowy hovery-ness. After that, I export again and bring the footy into Premiere for the final cut. Premiere is where I add music, sounds/foley and the clips from movie trailers that appear on Burnbot's screen. Then I do one final export from Premiere and I'm done! This episode should be ready...

Now that the renders have replaced the animatic, I drag the mouth and eyebrow symbols on to a layer over them and place them accordingly in Flash. I animate them using the keyframe caddy Flash extension (google it to download!).
This is also where I add characters like Goofball and Burnbot, as well as any other 2D animated flourishes, like the cartoons that appears on Burnbot's screen. This part is a pain in the ass but at least it's mindless so I can have Game Grumps going in ...

I do a batch render of my Maya file, which creates 142 individual image files (or however many unique frames this episode has)
What do I do with the image files? I drag them into flash one by one and replace the corresponding frames in the animatic! Animatic becomes animation. This step is fairly easy.
HOW BRAIN DUMP IS MADE: STEP 2
Using my animatic in Flash as a guide, I recreate each drawing pose-by-pose in Maya. Some poses I have saved from previous episodes and some need to be done from scratch. Here is a playblast of all the poses that go into just one episode of Brain Dump. This episode came to 142 unique frames!

As I work on this week's episode, I'll also outline the steps for how the series is made for my 5$+ patrons!
Step one is to record the dialogue and set up an animatic. The semi-transparent render in the background is Max's "neutral" pose, and I draw on another layer over it to block out the poses the characters make.
