This is the end of chapter 8! Time to make the storyboard for chapter 9 (storyboarding is the part I dislike the most, I think... I'm always stressed it won't look like what I had in mind and I find page structure so hard to decide).

Most of you guessed: Demian's first reaction is not to believe that's true. He knows Izumi, he knows how hard it was for Izumi to accept their first kiss, so this makes absolutely no sense in his head. But the image is what it is (Izumi placing his hands on Eiji's cheeks and them kissing), so Demian is not 100% sure he's right in his assumption. On the other hand, Izumi's main concern all along was how to explain to Demian that he did nothing when it happened, and now he's also facing the fea...

Sssssoooo this was the idea all along, hence why Izumi had to stand on a specific spot and have his hands on Eiji's cheeks. In Eiji's original plan Izumi would have told Demian and Eiji would have defended himself by showing Demian the capture to prove to Demian that it had been Izumi who kissed him and not the other way around. Things didn't go as planned, but ended up on the same place anyway.

This is the problem with miscomunication: Izumi might be going on and on in his head about how horrible he is because of what he did/did not do, but not telling Demian anything is also going to make Demian struggle, because he has no idea where this is coming from.

This is kinda based on a type of nightmare I have A LOT: it starts after apparently I've done something I would never do in real life and I'm left to deal with the consequences, wondering why in the world I did such a thing. Because I don't know it's a dream, I believe it was me indeed who put myself into that situation, and it's super suffocating. Do you ever have nightmares like this?

I promise I'm working on next pages (will probably post the next batch of 3 tomorrow), but I wanted to post these journal pages first because I think everything makes more sense after reading them. This is pretty much the point we're at at the beginning of chapter 7.

The Violinist and the Nerd is told from Izumi's point of view. Because he's very close to Demian, you can more or less see what Demian is going through, but there's no way to see what's going on in Eiji's mind. Drawing Demian playing the violin always gives me a lot of stress, because I know that people who actually play the violin will find tond of mistakes (laughs). I've been checking violin concerts on YouTube, pausing frames... I hope it's not too bad after all ( º w º ;;;
