He never asked him about it because to him it was ok that Izumi didn't particularly like Eiji (in a way he felt relieved because he was a bit jealous at first) and if he had asked, Izumi might have felt like he was meant to like Eiji, or that it was a problem for Demian that he didn't. It never felt like an important topic for Demian because he didn't realize Izumi's problem was the way Eiji looked at Demian, he didn't know there was "an important issue" behind Izumi's reasons.

Solo quiero que se acabe esta agonía por favor •,~,• no soporto la altanería de Eiji solo quiero que Demian le meta tremenda cachetadota por lo que le hizo a Izumi y que luego le meta un escupitajo junto con su carta de renuncia (o sin la renuncia peor algo más)
