Character birthdays.

I finally decided on everyone's birthdays! I checked  what time of the year these animals usually breed (for the ones that have a specific period of time) and chose dates around that ( ' v ' )b I will be posting those on Webtoon chapters as characters are introduced in the series. I used everyone's design sheets for the image except for Skye because I changed his hair and now that doesn't represent him much.

I had to design Ronell already just for that one panel (=w=;; He'll appear more later, though he's still a secondary character.

Ronell the red panda.

Since I'm taking a bit long with next batch of pages (I expect to work faster during the holidays), here's a little character design for a very very secondary character: Ronell the red panda! I didn't even decide his age, but I'd say around 11?

Ronell was originally a panda, but on the one hand, I don't know if pandas live in normal forests (laughs), and on the other hand, I didn't want two characters with white hair, so he's a red panda now.

Ethan is by far the hardest character to draw for me. I think it's because I'm scared of changing his hair (and I know I will as I draw him more). Also the fact some people already compared him to Izumi because of the curly hair (...and to Demian's mom, but that's a whole new level of nonsense) makes me nervous. I want each character to be seen as who they are, not to be compared to my previous series like they don't have a life/story of their own. But as hard as it is to draw him, I also had...

TVATN volume preview

I finally received my test copy for volume 2! I was very happy with how volume 1 turned out, but I'm twice as happy with volume 2 (*O*) It's so beautiful, the colors are perfect, the pages are thick with 0 transparency (I chose a 150gr paper because I was scared it might not look good if you could see through the page even slightly)... It's the first time I hold a colored comic of mine in my hands and I'm super excited (TwT) Volume 1 is thicker even though season 2 is longer because season 1 ...

The forest being all snowy is one of the images I've always had for this comic (^^) Now I'm back to working on the pages, I hope I can share next batch within this weekend!

Xmas collab WIP.

I'm working on a Christmas collab for Webtoon! (^v^) Here's the sketch for now, though I feel I'm gonna have to edit it a lot. Ragnar is a tough man, he's not cold even dressed like that (LAUGHS).

I made a poll (for the $5) asking if you preferred short updates more often or longer updates every more days, and so far longer updates or "either way is fine" won, so I'm gonna go with longer updates after all. You can expect 5 comic pages for my next comic post (^^)

Todd the fox.

Here's Todd's character sheet! He's 26 years old.

Todd is one of the characters that changed the most story-wise from the original idea back in 2012. He went from being just a horny character (I swear that was all there was to him) to one of my favourite characters after I rewrote him (past, present and future). You can tell I didn't like him much back then because I never redesigned him in 2013 like I did for the other characters (laughs).

Done with book covers, sample copies have been ordered... It's been quite a weekend OwO;;; I will show you photos as soon as I receive the books! Some of you asked where I plan to sell them. It's going to be on my (currently closed) Freewebstore page.

I have planned the storyboard for half of chapter 2 of Wild Beast Forest House (it's going to be a long chapter) and sketched around 3 pages... but I stopped working on them because I decided I want to get The Violinist and the Nerd printed within this year, so for the next days I'm going to work on the covers, planning of the volumes, etc. If it's possible I'd like to open the store for a few days and send the books right before Christmas, then re-open the store again after the holidays. Skye is a good person, but he has the worst ideas (laughs). The raven sisters are super secondary characters. I needed guests for Wild Beast to appear here and there and I had this idea for twin girls with wings.

Character sheet: Owen the human.

Since the option for "show them after" won on the poll, I'm showing you character sheets only after characters have made their first appearance. Owen only appeared in one panel, but I consider him introduced already (laughs). He's 30 years old and he's Yule's human owner.

He used to look kinder on the first design I made of him back in 2012. I never re-designed him until now.

These are the first pages I ever drew of Wild Beast Forest House with the 2013 character designs. The scene has changed a bit, but not that much. Now I'm looking forward to working on the next pages because it's finally "new stuff" for me to draw!

I didn't find any 3D background that fit my idea of Wild Beast's reception, so I'll have to draw it manually each time except for a couple of furniture pieces ( ' - ' ;;; For someone like me who can't draw backgrounds to save her life this is a huge drama. Here's a little sketch I made to know where's what (though I'm missing the pot on the reception desk).

The story begins! If you're interested I can share the original pages I drew back in 2013 showing this same scene (they were in B&W). I drew them back then to send the project to publishers in USA and France... Never got any response ( ' v ' ; It was very frustrating back then, but now I realize how much happier I am working on my own at my own path. Bless Webtoon, Tapas and Patreon for giving authors the chance to be their own bosses.

November's here and I wanted to share some info and plans with you!

First of all, if you were an active Patron in October, November is a free month for you, you haven't been charged for it. Anyone who starts pledging now will be charged though. November is not a free month itself, it's a free month for Patrons who were active before the month started.

I will be uploading the prologue for the new project to Webtoon and Tapas on the 3rd November, but then it won't be update...
