To bring you guys up to speed and give you the tl;dr: I was supposed to start going to college for a career change and I've been doing prep for this, but due to some communication issues it's uncertain when I'll start. I'm hoping those issues are resolved tomorrow.

I have a surgery date coming up, my in-laws are here on vacation and I have a whole slew of other commitments because I'm seeing health care providers and trying to get my home fixed before the first snow.

Sorry for the lack of art, I'm still very busy with college prep.

Jade

I haven't done anything with Jade in a while because the show has rendered her original story completely pointless, so I wanted to come up with a new role for her that fits first.

Jade was a fish out of water in Ponyville after getting lost in the original story. In said story she had to come to terms with problems that don't have immediate or obvious solutions. She had to learn how to make friends. She had to adapt to living in Equestria and confront her feelings of dragon superiority....

So busy!

At this point I imagine I'm tiring you guys with these changes, but the truth is that I'm still not satisfied with the 212th princess' name. As more time passes I am more inclined to give her and her brother two-character names, while reserving the one-character names that reference ancient Chinese weapons to the concubines.

Hightailing it

Stargazing

Blaze is a very self-willed dragoness. She'll leave, do what she  wants and come back when she wants. Torch doesn't even try to reel her  in anymore. It's not like he's much better. At times he gets so lost in  his own hobby he loses track of literal days.

Blaze  loves to chase tornadic waterspouts and get flung by them. Extreme  weather in the Dragon Lands is no joke, so the hobby isn't the safest.  But that just makes it more exciting.

The Royal Mother of the Tianlong Emperor is a fierce one. She came  from a humble background but managed to climb far enough up the social  ladder to be put in charge of the imperial harem after the death of the  Empress. After her husband passed away as well and her filial son  succeeded him, her position as top dog was cemented.

Getting on a dragon's bad side is a bad idea in general, but you'll want to be extra careful around this one.

Progress on Awaken (comic)

Finished the flat colors of a background I'll be reusing in my comic. I have also completed a big panel that will appear later on. To avoid spoilers I'm keeping that to myself for now.

After I complete this background I will probably create a single drawing to break up the monotony of working on this large project before getting right back into it.
