That's what I've been working on. This is a turning point in the series, one that drops another bombshell. This next episode, the 15th, will introduce the Antichrist. The story picks up with Jeffery reduced to occupying the body of a broken robot, desperate to find Earth, Yahweh's true simulation and ongoing test to determine if he is fit for leadership in the real world.

Thanks for your support, everyone. Comedies like this usually get demonetized fairly soon after upload, so your support keeps them alive. Otherwise it would only be financially viable to stick with serious and rather tame stuff. I think it's valuable to do both, however, so thanks for making that possible.

I'm very pleased with how the next animation is turning out. There's a lot of comedic aspects untranslated in the script I posted (timing, additional lines & words, inflection, etc). In the image above, the defendant (right) stands proudly after predicting 9-11 only 18 years after it happened, and everyone is quite impressed.
I've also developed some new animation techniques that have greatly helped me streamline a few normally tedious tasks, so the video is much further along than ...

I built this courtroom for the next animation (script is in the previous post). Because it's designed as an entire 3D room (as opposed to some of my previous 2D animations), it can be viewed from any angle and could prove useful for future animations, as courtrooms are always good places to make points. I pictured the judge as a stern no-nonsense Wilford Brimley type. It'll be a hot Southern day, pit stains and ladies fanning themselves.

I recently wrote this script, which I'm pretty sure will be my next animation (my previous ideas aren't as well rendered). I enjoy the absurdity of it throughout, but as usual, I'm questioning how to end it. I'm not sure if I'm entirely satisfied with the ending this version has. Opinions?
I come to the opposite conclusion as Dostoevsky. People use God to justify all kinds of atrocity, and they mitigate guilt not necessarily though making amends with their victims, but thro...

One of the most powerful and insidious tools religion has inflicted upon people is the concept of hell. I've decided to work on a remake of a video I made in 2009, debunking the concept of hell itself, but deleted the video in 2011 due to music copyright during a time when YouTube was less forgiving about that sort of violation. The video is poorly done, as I was still learning very much, and it could also use additional arguments, like the evolution of hell throughout history. If you'd like ...

Hi, everyone! Sorry I didn't keep you updated very much with this video, but it is a God & Jeffery in heaven video, which means there isn't much new visually to show this time, and I didn't want to spoil all the jokes. So, here it finally is. I hope you like it.

I found this old photo of God and Jeffery from exactly one infinity years ago, back when they were little. Times were simpler back then.

God's political compass. That's what I'm working on now. This will be a comedy episode between God and Jeffery in which Jeffery has God take the online political compass test, which covers everything from war to abortion. Of course, God will give some answers that will be expected, but others will be very unexpected, and I'll have the biblical verses to back it up. Perhaps some of you don't want me to get into politics, but this video won't really be an indictment of the right nor the left. I...

Apologies for not updating you regularly with the episode I've been working on, but I didn't really think it through when I posted the first couple minutes of the video in that sneak peek last post, which ends in such a way that if I post anything new from that episode, it could spoil it. The video is almost done. Few more days.

For patrons, this is a look at the beginning of the next episode of Power Corrupts. I usually don't edit whole finished chunks of the video together like this before all the animation is done, but I thought it would be nice to do this sneak peek. I can't wait to see how you'll react to the rest of this video when it's finally done.

Does God resemble the Israelites because He took their culture into consideration when communicating with them, or is the resemblance because the culture invented the god? The latter seems much more likely to me. In this video, I used a speech by Ben Shapiro as a vehicle for the argumentation.
If you're interested in some of the behind-the-scenes work for this video, specifically some of my mouth animation work, a demonstrated how that's done in a previous Patreon-only video here: 2018-11-23 22:35:14 +0000 UTC

This behind-the-scenes video for patrons only shows how I match lips to audio. This only shows part of the process, but it gives you an idea of how much, and what kind of, work is involved with creating just 2 seconds of speech in an animation that's 17 minutes of speech. The cartoon I'm animating in this video will come out soon, as a lot of it is done as of this post.

The last 10 years have been amazing. My YouTube channel has put me in contact with so many wonderful people and allowed me to do something fulfilling and meaningful for a living. I never expected this. Everyone starts at zero and it's difficult to say what will succeed. So, on this 10 year anniversary, I've reflected a bit.
I was lucky to find more success than most, yet some have managed to go beyond my 670,000 subscribers and 120 million views, but it's practically unheard of while uploading...

Response videos are typically done by just intermittently pausing a video when you want to interject, and then resuming the video after you've made your point, a technological interruption of sorts. In my response to Ben Shapiro's speech on God's reasoning, I translate this tactic into an animation by having Jeffery and Yahweh listen to Ben speak, and they freeze and unfreeze time itself when they have something to say, and they even move through time and space too. In this scene, Jeffery freeze...

Next animation will be very wordy. Yahweh gets out the "big" guns and uses Shapiro to basically argue on His behalf. Jeffery breaks all that crap down, using facts over feelings. Shapiro defends the reasoning for why a supposedly timeless & spaceless God resembled the culture in which He appeared (like every other culture's gods...coincidence?). Jeffery goes through it all and explains not only why it's a bad defense, but also shows how it's based on a total nonissue, that there's far better...

“That’s how it was back then.” If you’ve done a lot of debating about the bible, then you’ve heard statements like that a million times. God seemed archaic, they say, because He had to take their ancient culture into consideration so that they could understand Him. That’s the argument. This is a standard go-to from even the most advanced theologians, and I don’t think I’ve ever actually addressed it in a video.
Recently I heard Ben Shapiro make this argument; so I decided to ju...

A YouTube error caused the last upload to be stuck at 360p (it should be 1080p) and even unplayable for some people. I didn't want to delete it along with everyone's views and comments, however, and YouTube won't allow two of the same video on the same channel, so I uploaded it to my DarkAntics channel and there were no problems. So, at least there's an intact version out there. No pledges apply to this reupload.

Because my last video was so serious and took so much work, I had the desire to make a lighthearted God & Jeffery video. It's about God's attempt to make a viral video. It doesn't go well. Jesus and Not Muhammad will also make an appearance. I've already gotten a lot done on it, so it shouldn't take much longer. Maybe there will be two videos for October.

Here it finally is, the 13th part of Power Corrupts: Jeffery's plan to shut Yahweh down is put into action. I love this video. I think it has some of my best animating to date. All my blood, sweat, and tears went into it, working 12-16 hour days for over a month. Don't feel bad about that, though, because I wanted to do it. When you jump out of bed, looking forward to work, and resist going to bed, because you want to keep working, you know you're doing what you're supposed to be doing. If you w...

The next episode of Power Corrupts is quite different in terms of production. I was able to start working on it early last month, so there's tons of great settings and action scene animation, much more than usual. Also, this episode is dedicated to moving the story in a specific surprise direction rather than applying any sort of rhetoric (but rhetoric will be aided later in the series by events that happen in this episode). I'm fairly happy with the way it's turning out.

Jeffery's flying car is on the left, Yahweh's on the right. As some of you may have seen in the previous post, which was a Patreon only video, the world I created for this animation is three dimensional. Sometimes, when you draw 2 dimensional objects, like the cars above, for a 3D world, you have to convincingly make 2D look like 3D, which means accurately drawing the object at different angles, and then interpolating between the drawings, which tricks your brain into thinking it's a 3D object. ...

This isn't a funded video; it's just a little extra Patreon only behind the scenes look at some of the creative process behind constructing environments for animations. I'm playing God! With animation I can create whatever I can imagine, which is why I prefer it to the limitations of live action (no set building, crews, permits, etc). In animation, however, I can build cities, wilderness, planets, etc.
A patron thought it would be a good idea to post my specs in case anyone can't point out iss...

Much of the next animation takes place while flying through a sprawling city. Here's a cockpit view of Jeffery's transport. I’m currently constructing the next episode of Power Corrupts, which left off with Jeffery needing to find a way to deal with Yahweh’s dominance of the real world. I thought about making a video that explains the process I developed for constructing environments like the city I made in these renders. As I work, I’ll make some recordings and see how it goes.
I think behind the scenes style videos, or maybe Q&A videos down the line, will be good for patrons only. I want as many pe...

I'm happy with the way this one has turned out. Even though it's my own video, it makes me laugh out loud. Thanks for being my enablers!
If you don't believe in God, or an afterlife, then you've probably been asked this: "Why does anything matter?" Just a little thought reveals the utter absurdity of such a question. The flaw is temporal. Why must all value be placed upon the future? Does the present not hold value? When something is unlimited, does it not actually lose value? We matter to eac...

Animation difficulty is based on how much things change. So, if there's a lot of different scenery and people, that's a lot of work. This animation is turning out to have an unexpectedly high workload, because it's mostly one setting and five characters, but the work comes from the fact that this scene will go through several stages of chaos, so each character has different versions as things get worse, and each of those versions is like a new character, and different angles must be drawn for di...
