Next Episode of Power Corrupts

That's what I've been working on. This is a turning point in the series, one that drops another bombshell. This next episode, the 15th, will introduce the Antichrist. The story picks up with Jeffery reduced to occupying the body of a broken robot, desperate to find Earth, Yahweh's true simulation and ongoing test to determine if he is fit for leadership in the real world.

Thanks for your support, everyone. Comedies like this usually get demonetized fairly soon after upload, so your support keeps them alive. Otherwise it would only be financially viable to stick with serious and rather tame stuff. I think it's valuable to do both, however, so thanks for making that possible.

I like this one

I'm very pleased with how the next animation is turning out. There's a lot of comedic aspects untranslated in the script I posted (timing, additional lines & words, inflection, etc). In the image above, the defendant (right) stands proudly after predicting 9-11 only 18 years after it happened, and everyone is quite impressed.

Day in Court

I built this courtroom for the next animation (script is in the previous post). Because it's designed as an entire 3D room (as opposed to some of my previous 2D animations), it can be viewed from any angle and could prove useful for future animations, as courtrooms are always good places to make points. I pictured the judge as a stern no-nonsense Wilford Brimley type. It'll be a hot Southern day, pit stains and ladies fanning themselves.

Why no posts

Apologies for not updating you regularly with the episode I've been working on, but I didn't really think it through when I posted the first couple minutes of the video in that sneak peek last post, which ends in such a way that if I post anything new from that episode, it could spoil it. That's Just How It Was Back Then

Does God resemble the Israelites because He took their culture into consideration when communicating with them, or is the resemblance because the culture invented the god? The latter seems much more likely to me. In this video, I used a speech by Ben Shapiro as a vehicle for the argumentation.

Why Nobody Does What I Do (Patreon Only)

This behind-the-scenes video for patrons only shows how I match lips to audio. This only shows part of the process, but it gives you an idea of how much, and what kind of, work is involved with creating just 2 seconds of speech in an animation that's 17 minutes of speech. The cartoon I'm animating in this video will come out soon, as a lot of it is done as of this post.

10 Years on Youtube Today

The last 10 years have been amazing. My YouTube channel has put me in contact with so many wonderful people and allowed me to do something fulfilling and meaningful for a living. I never expected this. Everyone starts at zero and it's difficult to say what will succeed. So, on this 10 year anniversary, I've reflected a bit.

Responding "in real life"

Response videos are typically done by just intermittently pausing a video when you want to interject, and then resuming the video after you've made your point, a technological interruption of sorts. In my response to Ben Shapiro's speech on God's reasoning, I translate this tactic into an animation by having Jeffery and Yahweh listen to Ben speak, and they freeze and unfreeze time itself when they have something to say, and they even move through time and space too. Next animation will be very wordy. Yahweh gets out the "big" guns and uses Shapiro to basically argue on His behalf. Jeffery breaks all that crap down, using facts over feelings. God's Viral Video (fixed)

A YouTube error caused the last upload to be stuck at 360p (it should be 1080p) and even unplayable for some people. I didn't want to delete it along with everyone's views and comments, however, and YouTube won't allow two of the same video on the same channel, so I uploaded it to my DarkAntics channel and there were no problems. So, at least there's an intact version out there. No pledges apply to this reupload.

Change of pace

Because my last video was so serious and took so much work, I had the desire to make a lighthearted God & Jeffery video. It's about God's attempt to make a viral video. It doesn't go well. Fighting a God

Here it finally is, the 13th part of Power Corrupts: Jeffery's plan to shut Yahweh down is put into action. I love this video. I think it has some of my best animating to date. All my blood, sweat, and tears went into it, working 12-16 hour days for over a month. Don't feel bad about that, though, because I wanted to do it. Special Episode

The next episode of Power Corrupts is quite different in terms of production. I was able to start working on it early last month, so there's tons of great settings and action scene animation, much more than usual. Also, this episode is dedicated to moving the story in a specific surprise direction rather than applying any sort of rhetoric (but rhetoric will be aided later in the series by events that happen in this episode). I'm fairly happy with the way it's turning out.

From 2D to 3D

Jeffery's flying car is on the left, Yahweh's on the right. As some of you may have seen in the previous post, which was a Patreon only video, the world I created for this animation is three dimensional. Sometimes, when you draw 2 dimensional objects, like the cars above, for a 3D world, you have to convincingly make 2D look like 3D, which means accurately drawing the object at different angles, and then interpolating between the drawings, which tricks your brain into thinking it's a 3D object. ...

This isn't a funded video; it's just a little extra Patreon only behind the scenes look at some of the creative process behind constructing environments for animations. I'm playing God! Starts Normal, Ends with Chaos

Animation difficulty is based on how much things change. So, if there's a lot of different scenery and people, that's a lot of work. This animation is turning out to have an unexpectedly high workload, because it's mostly one setting and five characters, but the work comes from the fact that this scene will go through several stages of chaos, so each character has different versions as things get worse, and each of those versions is like a new character, and different angles must be drawn for di...
