I have a question for you...

Since I started Patreon, I've only applied your pledges to one video per month, with the exception of one month when I made two pledged videos. This month will yield two animations, for instance, but I'm only applying pledges to one of them (the one I put most of the work into). I'm wondering if I should change your pledges to "monthly" instead of "per video". My thinking is that "per video" scares away potential patrons, whereas "monthly" makes it more clear as to what exactly they'll be pledgi...

"Heaven"

At this point in the animation, the camera pulls out into an extremely wide view as the robot is being levitated by a beam of light into the gigantic mainframe, where the creator resides. If you look closely at the beam of light, you can still see the robot, which looks like a tiny black dot at this distance. There will be several unexpected twists, not only for the robot, but for you as well.

This is the gatekeeper who will send the robot to see his maker. Also, just in case some of you missed it, I uploaded an animation that I didn't make Patreon supported, because it's just a goofy little short with no real point other than comedy, and I didn't want to charge you for that (it only amounted to a couple short days of work). The Metaphorical Death of Unit 37

I try to convey a sense of immense scale in this video more than I have in my past work. As I said before, the bridge represents death, and after Unit 37 crosses over it, he encounters a gatekeeper of sorts, like the robot version of St. Peter. You'll see that in my next update.

Unit 37

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but that doesn't mean I haven't been hard at work creating this world and its inhabitants. I've taken a dozen or so screenshots from various scenes I've set up, and I'll post them a little more regularly. I've been more preoccupied with creating this thing than actually sharing how it's going, and so far, it's going better than expected.

Another Angle

This is a different angle of the structure (see my previous post for an explanation of what this is). On the upper right, you can see the three doors, which is the entrance to the tunnel of light. The structure is massive, and from this distance, the robot would only be a tiny speck at the top, but I haven't even designed the robot yet.

Deleted video announcement

Some of you may have noticed that I uploaded a new animation and then deleted it an hour later. You will NOT be charged twice for it. I deleted it because YouTube is having issues with its subscription feeds right now. Many people, some with millions of subscribers, aren't getting views on their new uploads, because their videos aren't being published to subscribers' feeds. Possible video idea, with your help

God was thinking of doing another top 10 list video, much to Jeffery’s dismay. The idea He had for the video was “Top 10 Reasons Jesus Hasn’t Returned Yet”. Some of the reasons I came up with, which I may or may not use:

- He actually did come back, but ended up in an insane asylum for claiming to be Jesus.

- He’s scared of crosses, and they’re everywhere now.

Disgruntled Royalty

It’s finally done and I’m greatly relieved, because this is a video that has been on my mind for a long time. I toiled with how to word it, and rewrote it over and over again. We didn't realize how high we climbed

The Old King

I was unsure about this animation, because it will be so different than anything I've done before, but now that I've gotten enough done to see part of the finished result, I'm pretty happy with it.

Dead Forest

I couldn't have returned with a more difficult animation than this one. The voice work alone took about 40 hours. When you hear it, you'll immediately understand why. I still have a lot of animating to do, but I'm hoping for an April release.

Ruin

I did the textures with my digital pen this time, drawing the vegetation climbing up the walls from below and hanging down from above, like the upper and lower teeth of a giant natural maw, slowly devouring the city. I drew the decaying stop sign as a bit of symbolism. Hopefully it’s not too ham-fisted. There will be several scenes like this in my next animation.

I'm Back

I just got back from Colorado, finished the 1,900 mile drive yesterday. Above is a picture of me and my son as I carried him up a mountain. We’re about halfway through our journey in that pic. It was extremely difficult with him on my shoulders. I was proud to be able to do it, and he had great fun getting lifted up there (8860 ft. elevation), after having spent his entire life at sea level. We found a beautiful lake and waterfall up there, all frozen solid.

In this part of the video, I'm building up a point about how a claim that would normally be considered ridiculous if claimed by one person, can instead seem obviously true when a vast array of people reinforce each other in their belief of the claim. Though this video will use religion to exemplify this, it can apply to many ideologies.

Seven years ago, my first cartoon included cars driving in a city, just like my next cartoon. I drew all the cars in both cartoons using the same program, Anime Studio (which I was still learning how to use for that first cartoon), but I created the background of the more recent cartoon using Vue. I still have yet to put people in the cars of the new cartoon, and yes, that red car is blowing through a red light on purpose.

This frame is from a video I started working on about prayer and how answering any prayers would cause a butterfly effect that would ripple throughout God's plan, forcing Him to constantly make alterations, thereby affecting countless people, undermining freewill, and negating the purpose of having a plan in the first place.
