Here’s a little more of making the coral reefs... Sarah & I made a reef everyday. Then at the end of the week we got to deploy them into the water. Once down there, we got to arrange the structures, so the fish and coral can make them into their new homes. This was seriously one of the best weeks of my life. Very fun, educational, and fulfilling project to be a part of. This fishing village stole my heart. I want to come back every year to visit the reef and see how it grows over time. ...

What is marine pollution?

Marine pollution occurs when harmful effects result from the entry into the ocean of chemicals, particles, industrial, agricultural, & residential waste, noise, or the spread of invasive organisms. 80% of marine pollution comes from land. Air pollution is also a contributing factor by carrying off pesticides or dirt into the ocean. Both land & air pollution have proven to be harmful to marine life & its habitats.

Sometimes one person is not enough

I try to do my best. I try not to walk by. But sometimes, one person is not enough... Who knows how long this has been here, sad.

The time is now

Looking at this picture makes me think of what beach I actually did not need to clean. Not one. This problem is everywhere. If you are staying at a resort, well the employees come out to clean it before your beach day. This problem is barely being managed & often being covered up. Please make some healthy habits. No plastic, repurpose, reuse, refuse, recycle... Just pick something... The world is turning into a dump literally 💙

Size does not matter

I used to think picking up the bigger pieces was better. That the area would “look” better. Now I’ve come to have quite the eye for the smaller stuff. I know how damaging the smaller bits can be for the animals. And it’s a much bigger challenge to gather mass amounts! 💚

My grandmother was a midwife nurse & a Lutheran missionary in Africa, South America, & Mexico. My mother has explored all specialties as an RN & retired after 42 years. My cousin worked as an RN then gained her masters as a Nurse Practitioner. I am a Traveling BSN RN specialized in the ICU since 2015. We also have 2 female general surgeons in our family. Please give me feedback on my editing skills. I felt like a natural & was flattered with comments. And then I tried to add different songs... The app I’m using is not friendly in that department. So I’ll have to switch. This took days of frustration... and I really wanted to learn the drone, so I feel behind. Oh well, editing old footage just makes me feel like I’ll have really awesome stuff to come!
