Dev update

Checking in.

Obviously the update won't be ready this month. I always hate guessing, but it won't be ready until the second half of next month. It all depends on work/life etc. I thought I'd give you all a heads up before the end of the month so that you know where I'm at. I don't want anybody pledging next month if they think I'm going too slow, or for you to think the update is  just around the corner.

I miss Meghan with long hair :( so here's a render with her original hairstyle. Also, how about that poll? Meghan is still the fav gal among you. Just :)

Not much to report. Just checking in so you guys know I'm alive. Some days are more productive than others. Depends on how much work drains out of me.

Dev update.

I'm about a 1/3 way done for the next update. I went and got an extra 16GB of RAM. 32GB total now. All though that won't make any difference in the overall rendering time, it does help with setting up the scenes. 

If you go back to the scene with Alex and Trish in the park, and Alex and Hannah just before they head out for the club...well, those buildings in the background would basically brick my comp.  Any scene with Samara seemed to do the same, even when I reduced her skin...

I have an animation to finish, some renders need redoing and when that's done, finalizing the coding.  I know you're all eager to jump back in. We're nearly there.

Hi y'all! Just a quick update to let you guys know where I am with the update. 

I was hoping to have it ready by the end of the month, but I still have a ways to go. While I'm wary of giving estimates in case I miss it, I hope to have it ready in about 2 weeks.

Tier changes.

I've made slight changes to the tier benefits I announced last month. Please check them out on the right side, under the lovely gals. 

That being said, I wasn't able to post the changes before a new patron pledged. And I don't want them to feel bamboozled... so the next two preview pics for v.0.04 will still be available for rank: Infiltrator and above.

The quest for hyper-realism?

So...here's a comparison of my very first render of Meghan, and what I'm able to accomplish now, after the initial release and two updates. 

There are very few renders I'm actually truly satisfied with, which has caused me to keep on striving to get better at this whole thing. I've always thought: The best way to learn something, is by doing it!

Just when I think I have it figured out, I stumble across something new...

Haven't done a dev update in a while, so....

Here's a render of Sandra. She wasn't always a 40+ year old doctor. This is how I would imagine her, before life happened...

Anyways, speaking of real life...I'm about 10% behind where I should be with the update. Nothing serious, just work and other mundane stuff. The grind most of us find ourselves in.

So, I promised I'd do a poll about Alex after the latest update. There have been criticisms that she looks older than she's supposed to be. I've shown what she would look like with an alternate skin asset, but...I need her to look a certain way, for things to come.

All though it would probably garner more support, I don't want to enter Mr. Dots territory ;) 

So I went and softened up some of the details on the skin asset I've already been using. This was showcased in the late...
