Totally not a usual thing for us here, but I figured I'd share for fun. When Tommy was in Japan earlier this month from Sweden we went to a "studio" with him and our friend Makiko to see if we could go from "never played music together" to "playing a fairly simple Misfits song" in a few hours. Turns out we can!

Hi everyone, it's July. And wow is it hot outside already. In fact I haven't been outside in a week because I'm just hiding from the outdoor misery, haha. Good news is we got to see Tommy (of Emma) for a few days during June as he was in Japan renewing his permanent residency status, so that was fun! Oh, Kyde has been grinding HARD at Japanese language school this month and that will continue into the foreseeable future. I'm super proud of the progress she's making.

.....12 years ago today to travel. We didn't take any photos that day, but here's a photo of us biking around Sendai the next day, surrounded by a totally foreign environment that, through a series of totally unplanned events would become home.
