WIP March 2022 Commission Batch

Yay! I figured out a way to make sure recordings are automatically on whenever I start a new drawing, so I can post a bunch more of these in the future. Enjoy!

Aaaand the finished pieces. I know I harp on this pretty much every month, but the lighter commission loads are really doing wonders with allowing me to enjoy the process again. I even had it in me to experiment with I did shadows in clothing folds, which by the way I'm totally keeping.
WIP February 2022 Commission Batch
Aaand we're back with another batch of commissions. This go around we've got a bear, a wolf (based off Ammy from Okami) and a pokemon/werebeast set of tfs.
I got a couple of these snap shots during the inking process that I thought turned out pretty nicely, so I'll be sure to take more of them for every WIP batch.
January 2022 Commission Batch
Considerably lighter load this past month, but I'm happy for it, 'cause I had some extra time to devote to each piece and it allowed me some extra time to mess around with blender sculpting, do a small 2d animation, and work on a personal oc piece for the first time in ages. It's all about that balance, my dudes.

Heya folks. I wanted to try my hand at doing some more personal doodles for this page. Here's my first attempt at it! All in all, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and am looking forward to doing more soon.

Oh la la~
I'm learning as I go how much I enjoy the more human parts of these transformation pieces. I think I'm probably in the minority when it comes to the tf community, but ah well. I'm pretty sure the "were" in "werewolf" or "werebeast" roughly translates into "man", so at least I know that mythology tends to agree with me on these things.

Heeeya folks, we're getting back into the swing of things with a small batch this month. But I gotta admit, it was pretty nice to be able to give a little extra love to each piece. So I'm considering making this a regular thing. We'll see!

As per usual, thanks so much for your continued support. Ya'll have no idea how much your contributions have made life just a little bit easier. Being able to pay bills is hella crazy, lemme tell you.

Quick Update
Hey folks, I just wanted to let ya'll know that I'll be pausing the billing cycle for October and will resume with things as usual in November. I just need some time to sort through some things, but come November it'll be business as usual!

August 2021 Commision Batch
Aaaaand here's all the finished pieces. There's technically one more, but we'll sneak that one into this post as soon as its an option. Trying out some different shading techniques again. I'm not really sure where I sit with it as opposed to my usual cell shading, but I know for a fact it's going to be something I flop back and forth on for a while before eventually settling on something. ... Or I'll never settle. Both are just as likely.
In any case, that's my update for the month. H...
WIP August 2021 Commissions
Heya folks! It's that time of the month again. We've got a handful of sketches from August and one I thiiink was done towards the end of one of these months. I honestly don't remember!
I dunno if it's noticeable, but I've been trying to make my sketches a bit more clean. It helps to have a more stable blueprint for when I move on to inking. Seems to be helping so far.

Going a lot more monotone this go around, but I'm... really digging it, if we're being honest. It's given me more time and energy to focus on experimenting with painting in lights and shadows, over just relying on simple cell shading. And experimenting has always been a big drive for taking on commissions. So... yay. Progress.

Lots of messy sketches this go around. I'm really loving this pencil brush I've had sitting around. It's a lot thicker than the one I usually use, but I also think it's helped me loosen up a lot more quickly.

April 2021 WIP Commission Batch
I dunno about ya'll, but I'm finding the batch uploads at the beginning and/or end of the month to be a lot more appealing. Quick uploads, loads more content to look at all at once means a happy artist and hopefully entertained patron.

I mentioned in a post on Twitter that I had a bit of a busy month aaaand looking at this, you might agree. Or you might disagree. But I am hella tired and likely going to take on a lightly load next month. That being said, all of these were pretty fun to work on.

Aaaand here's the final piece. I was feeling so good about how it was turning out that I decided to try messing around with the lighting a bit in a way I'm not super experienced with: I made the slight source super soft AND put it directly behind her. It ended up in my using the soft brush about 90% of the time. Who woulda knew?
