Dev Update - 2024/07/12

Happy Friday everyone,

This will be the last Dev Log for Chapter 5 simply because there won't be any more "real" progress to report next week.
I'm done with writing and coding, done with posing static renders and only 1 animation is left to set up.
The PC will be busy rendering the remaining images and animations in the queue for a few more days.
If nothing unexpected comes up, that should be done next week and the next thing you'll hear from me will be the announcement of Beta...

Dev Update - 2024/07/05

Hey everyone,

another week gone, one week closer to the release of Chapter 5.

This week I finished the work on the the long scene with most of the remaining animations.
The animations still need to be rendered and will keep the PC busy for a while.

I also started work on the 2 short scenes. The first is almost done and will be finished later today.
The 2nd one is written and waiting for its renders which I'll start working on when I'm done with the current scene.

Hey everyone,

As I mentioned last week, this week's focus has been animations.
I got a good chunk of them done and a few more renders too. I'm not fully done with the current scene, but it's going well so far and I expect to finish work on this scene before the next Dev Log.

After that, it's two more shortish scenes and the Chapter finale.
The Chapter finale will come with some stuff I've never done before so I'll have to see how my idea turns into DAZ renders and animations...

Dev Update - 2024/06/21

Hey everyone,

Friday again and time for another Dev Log.

The numbers this week are a bit lower than last week because I had to build my last minor test build.
That meant finding music for the scenes I created in the last weeks, doing post work (fixing stupid poke-throughs...) on roughly 400 renders, and putting it all together in a playable build.

After I finished that, I went back to writing and posing the next scene.

Work on the game went as planned which means I finished the render work on the scene from last week and started working on the next one.

The next scene is written and coded and I started creating the renders for it.

The plan is to finish that scene next week and then create the new test build. That'll be the last one before Beta.

Hello everyone,

This week has been pretty... entertaining.
The usual workload at the start of the month combined with flooding on the weekend/start of the week.
Luckily we weren't really affected by the flooding (it stopped roughly 1m away from our house), it was still a day without work done on the game and no time to let the PC render because of power outages all around us.
I switched it off to prevent another SSD crash.

Happy Friday everyone,

business as usual this week. I'm chugging away from the remaining scenes, a national holiday, and lots of work.
Overall the progress is good, especially considering all the national holidays and family stuff in May.
I expected to be slower with the development than I was in the end.

What's left for Chapter 5?
I'm almost done coding the next scene which then needs renders. That will be the focus of next week.

Hey everyone,

Another week went by and it's Friday again.
I expected this week to be a bit slower progress-wise because of, again, a national holiday this week.
I guess it was not (slow), but I let you guys be the judges for that.
The focus this week was on rendering the remaining images for the next test build and then creating said test build.
