Some James snippets

Been spending the past two weeks writing James' chapters 23 and 24 and it's taking me a long time... mostly because each chapter is nearing roughly 10k words, oof.

Also, I'm nearing 170k words!

Anyways, I figure you'd like a few snippets from the chapters, just to give you a taste of how the relationship between James and MC is developing!

Hi everyone! I usually post a biweekly update to let you all know how progress is going.

I'm dealing with some family issues which has brought a great deal of stress on me. Having to also think about posting the updates stresses me out further. So I'm going to not post them this month!

Personality type for the MC

Tailor Tales lets you choose between fierce and kind, but the main character herself still has her own traits (for example, she's never really shy). So I'm curious what your ideal kind of main character would be.

MC's superhero costume

Now that we're back on earth in James' route, the superheroes part of the story will finally start to shine.

Joselina, the MC, will eventually create her own superhero costume, aka 'supersuit'. She makes one for James as well, and originally I intended for them to be matching (white/black/cyan colour scheme), but I was wondering if people would like to pick out their own colours?

Endings fixed!

Last month someone got the wrong ending when playing Caine's route. I looked over the code and fixed the mistake. When testing, it seemed to work.

However, it turns out I just made it worse haha.

So I've updated the game once more to fix everyone's endings. It should now properly bring you to the right epilogue ending if it is your main route! Sorry for the error!

Taxes heads-up

A reminder that next month will abide by the US laws which means digital products must now also include sales tax. This means everyone's pledge will increase slightly by roughly a dollar or two, depending on where the live.

Another side character to lust after

Here's the sketch for the character Jed! He will appear in Gray's route, being his best friend, and a love interest for Sarah.

It's the first time I had to draw a rugged looking man, so I slapped on some facial hair as well because that's... definitely been lacking in the game.

Anyways, Jed's secretly a big softie on the inside, despite looking very muscular and being Gray's right hand in combat.

I should probably mention that no, he is not a candidate for the 7th route, lol...

New OST

One of the goals set on the Patreon was for a fully customized OST for Tailor Tales.

Currently, Tailor Tales is mostly a mix of royalty free music from a stock website, with a few custom pieces here and there. Most of the music in James' route was composed by Joel Steudler.

Thanks to everyone's support, I have a budget big enough to be able to have him replace the entire current OST with custom music! He will try to stick close to the spirit of the original :)

James' casual earth outfit - final vote!

Overwhelmingly, people just really enjoyed that black jacket with the red stripes. Unfortunately, I decided against the jacket because it felt too similar to Caine's outfit. Because they share scenes together, I didn't think it would look nice if both characters look the same. Also, Caine would raise hell for James copying his style.

Taxes starting in June

There will be some Patreon changes next month that are out of my control.  Due to some new laws in the US, tiers will now have US taxes on top of them, depending on where the Patreon lives. This can mean anywhere from 4% to 10% more.

The Monthly Pass Plus tier might raise to $11 instead of $10.

This is a head's up post so you won't be surprised if the price is suddenly slightly higher.

Small Aiden sample

Aiden is the 5th love interest, getting developed after James' route. He is the submissive one of the bunch and his route deals a lot with gentle femdom.

Because of the nature of his route, it's highly sexually charged. I showed a sample of one of his scenes to my beta players and asked them if I could show this in the free version, or if this was Plus material. They all agreed it was Plus mate...

For those that haven't tried out James' route

There are some Patreons who haven't yet tried out James' route. Reasons such as wanting to wait until it's completed (this will take until next year though!), or simply because James isn't their type.

I encourage you to try out his route either way. James' route is the most plot heavy of them all, and nothing inherently romantic has happened yet in the latest chapters (1-12). So even if you think he's not your type because he is rude, cold etc. then give his route a shot either way beca...

Fashion events

One of my goals this year was to add fashion events to the game. This was a way for Patreon users to still use the clothing system (since one of the perks is being able to skip chapter requirements). It meant every piece of clothing had a certain style to it, and you were required to design something in that style.
