Short Inferno update...

I'm at the Inferno Metal Festival, and working my ass off, having a blast. I haven't been able to send all you new patrons welcome message, but will do it when I'm home. 

I also will be uploading a lot of Inferno concert art to the Pre-Release gallery for the Level Dos patrons, so check that out. There's already some new pieces there.

Inferno Festival 2022!

Just a quick heads up, I'm going to the Inferno Festival in Oslo this Easter. That means... in a week! Yikes! I'll be exhibiting art at Leiligheten upstairs at Rockefeller, and I'll be drawing concerts. Hope to see some of you. 

If anyone is in Oslo, and wants to go to the festival, I'm also looking for an assistant. You'll get to see a few concerts, and get paid for sales of art and prints.

There's been an overwhelming amount of new patrons over the last few days and weeks, and I'm so very grateful. We're still quite a way from my goals, but I'll do a post about that. 

For now I'll just post this image, from a new series of paintings that I'm hoping to make, working with models, trying to paint body, beauty, and intimacy. We'll see how it goes, but I'm very pleased with this one. 

Opening the Discord?

I'm think I will be opening parts of the Discord for the general public, in order to make it more vibrant and more useful for me in the long run. 

This will only be the #general and #requests part of the server, while all the others will still be exclusive for Patrons. This is because when talking about personal things like art or mental health, there is a safety in everyone being identifiable through the a credit card. Discord server!

I finally managed to make a discord server, and loads of you filled it up before I knew what was going on! :D

So now we have a server where we can chat, share, and do whatever we want. 

So then the question is... What do we want to do? 

In addition to just getting to know one another, I thought that it would be nice to have a place for you to ask me question a bit more informally, and... If anyone of you are artists, I'm up for giving feedback and critique to those...

Lenses...

I thought I'd start using Lenses more, where I can post short snippets to you for a brief period. That way I can also show you some more secret things I'm working on.

Like this super secret project, that might not happen at all, and if it happens I might not even get credited, but it's very cool.

I did a few Lenses last fall, and you guys seemed to like them.

New Ink Monster plan...

So for a while, I've been doing my daily ink monsters just for myself. And that's been good, especially since I've been dealing with a lot of being ill, the flu and stomach flu, and some devastating happenings in my local community(Of which I've luckily been spared the worst, but which has still shaken me to my core). 

I've managed to do a daily ink monster every day in spite all, but I've also gotten time to reflect on my monsters. And my conclusion is that my monsters are nothing...

Another short update...

Short update. I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm hopeful that this depressive episode is lightening it's grip slowly. Which means I'll be able to start doing something about all the mess I've built up over the last years. 

Hopefully I'll be able to do all the shipping, commissions, and sending invoices that I should have done a long time ago.

ASMR Ink Monster...

So... Patreon is useful for a lot of things, and one of you lovely people sent me a long message detailing how they had found success on YouTube and how they thought I could fit their strategy to my art. I'm extremely thankful for the support from all you guys, it is vital. But I'm very afraid I will not be able to continue as an artist, or trying to make my living off my art. I've been battling my bipolar for years, and I think I'm doing as good as anyone probably can on their own, but I'm not getting any actual, functioning help from the health care system here in Norway, I've not yet found any med...

Capitalist Stalin auction...

I've decided to try and see what happens when I auction off my art, instead of the eternal problem of setting price. First out is... Capitalist Stalin, because I thought that was funny. 

He is also uploaded to the pre-release gallery, so to Level Dos patrons can check him out, and I will soon be releasing both the scan and a poster version, for print on demand or download for free use. 

I'm also thinking about doing T-shirts? Not just for Stalin, but for a bunch of stuff...

Real time ink monster.

I'm back from vacation. I'll be making a post about the ink monsters I made, and my plans for the future, but for now here's today's daily ink monster as a real time video where I talk through the process. Enjoy.

I recorded this video last week, just for you patrons, but I didn't post it because... depression. It's long and meandering, but hopefully some of you will find something useful. 

I just got my latest Patreon payout, and in a month it's more than doubled. So I'm extremely thankful and happy about that. 

Summer is going to be hard for me, but I'm going to keep on working on both spreading the patreon, making more art, and getting more back to you my backers.

I think of doing a "Win a Random Daily Ink Monster!" contest to celebrate, but it has to be open for non-patrons as well, because of Patreons anti-raffle rules. Which is understandable. But I'm a bit at a loss of how to organize it, but I'll figure it out. 

I originally wanted to include more in this update, but I already pushed publishing it for several days now, so I'd rather just do it short and sweet to get it...
