    • i will edit the 3 hours of raw footage for The Reaper At The Gates and get it on this platform by the end of July - uh August or so help me

content? on my patreon? more likely than you think.

i really love doing these because they illuminate how much more visually i could be thinking than i do the first time through. that being said - the visual aid in today's upload is a bit hungry. but we're working. we're thinking. we're prossibly rewriting the script. and doing it all at the absolute end of the month.

beautiful.

i could rename these to thirty minute thoughts but that's too much pressure

also yes that was a “B. Rad G” reference I tried to make. also also I realized while editing that I should’ve added that: the misogynoristic reactions of non-Black women like Huda are in part also fueled by the fact that they partner with self-hating Black men who probably espouse and encourage anti-Black rhetoric, especially targeted towards Black women.

July Update

i feel like every time i open my mouth to talk about content, there first comes a disclaimer about my unfortunate lack of free time. but i want to keep expectations (for you and myself!) realistic.

so while this is what's on the docket, all dates are subject to change.

  • June What I Watched (aural record/$5 tier)

the word of the day is “harrowing." i've got content banked up to record and edit, but so little time and much less energy. i hope you'll take this half scripted rambling review about one of social media's latest instigators of Disk Horse in the meantime.

mid month update!

good news: I'm starting a new (seasonal 😔) job tomorrow

bad news: executive dysfunction is beating my ass and I'm not as far on content as I would like to be ahead of this shift in my schedule. everything planned for this month is still coming but the timelines are a bit delayed.

we'll reevaluate in July, beloved but, i just wanted y'all to know in advance, that you might not hear for me until a big wave of content at the end of the month.

happy Pride! remember to put sunscreen on 15 minutes prior to leaving the house, beloved.

as a bit of a personal update tambien, I took a week long trip in the middle of May and ya boi still a little discombobulated. but with the grace of Jupiter moving into Cancer, we will get this shit together.

May's monthly read and review

I read three, count ‘em three, books this month and tried to talk about them all equally. As you can see from the time stamps, I did a very good job.

Also totally forgot that I rate books when I read them so that’s below as well

0:32 - Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu

3.5 sexual awakenings out of 5

2:14 - The River Has Roots by Amal El-Mohtar

5 magical willow trees out of 5

12:00 - Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao

the title is very much Still In Progress; but fresh off the cutting room floor is the early release for the next main channel video.

i edited this with enough time to make a separate uncensored version just for y'all!!

no resources link this time, this was brewed organically.

EDIT: it looks like there is a Patreon wide issue with videos right now; I can see the video but for some reason it won't show up for y'all. unfortunately, I think we all might just t...

the world's shortest work in progress but, as i kinda detail at the end, i'm considering different ways to create which also involves the post/editing part of this process!

also Tay Zonday was right and we all laughed (this is in reference to my loud breathing but Chocolate Rain is actually pretty profound and you should re-listen with the lyrics up)

i have a new found respect for Booktubers after recording and editing this special edition read & review. i mentioned this in the video but i'm only doing this Extra Version for Sabaa Tahir's series (currently). other read & reviews of one off books will be the usual podcast format.

also i'm sorry i recorded in my living room, the emergency services were real active that night and usually the sirens aren't picked up that clearly.

the title is more of a suggestion than a solid structure but say hello to a new patreon exclusive form of content! this is very much in the spirit of my What I Watched videos for the aural record tier -- which is to say, kinda chaotic and full of me interrupting myself.

edited with a greater priority for listening pleasure than viewing, please know that i stupidly went on tumblr to find screenshots and almost spoiled so much for myself before giving up and relying on search engine resu...
