In this part we get to work with the background, adding some color to it, and details.
Check how I use simple brush strokes to get clouds, sand and ocean in an easy way, while adding light to the scene!

In this second part I talk about the color decisions I make, as well as the first layer to begin painting: the flats.
I mostly use the lasso tool to quickly lay out the main colors, as well as the shadows, and play with different tones to create shades.

I remember I used to enjoy this kind of vids, specially when I was learning digital painting. they were both inspiring and helpful, since you can easily grasp an entire process in a few minutes and get some ideas on how the artist goes from the beginning and pushes the picture to the end.
It may be helpful and entertaining to you too!

These paws belong to Maiao , who wanted a very laid-back picture with his cute character, and of course, showing off those huge paws of his.
The rough sketches I did here are quite similar, with the biggest difference being how the character is resting.

This commission, made for Mango a while back, has such a fun topic to work with, that is the goo! Lots of shiny stuff and effects to play with. Its difficult to make the figure readable though, but I believe that's part of the goo play; how it changes the perception of the body and its texture ^^

I guess its my first "flying hands" picture! Had a weird time confronting myself with the idea that those hands weren't severed, but just hands like those of the videogames XD haha anyways, enjoy!
Did several roughs for this one too, which again, had a good chance to be completed, but Mizuame just decided for the final one that is also the most complex one, since it has the underwat...

I just loved working on this particular piece! Riolta sent me a message asking me to make a special picture for he and his partner. Later, due to reasons and casualties I found out why he wanted the picture, so I put an extra effort on it.

This cute robotic feline was designed in conjunction with KiguFox, who wanted a hardened companion!
Went through several phases of design, where I wanted some tiny antlers instead of pointy ears, huge hips and then we added some special stuffs like a jetPack and plug tail.
The idea is of a robot that has been built by KiguFox himself, with spare parts from the shop, thus why the Robocat looks with rusted parts and some incomplete pieces.

Another artistic freedom pic, for Riley. As you can see, I usually work along the lines of public places, haha, because of reasons :P
Also added myself there, just to keep the bus a bit crowded.
