I meant to have this up last night, so thank you for your patience!

LUSTER has proven to not only be a great outlet for some fun and spicy ideas, but a great exercise in creating environments, backgrounds, and costumes, which are three things that I struggle with.  I think LUSTER is gonna help with all of that.  These two still have a ways to go, but I'm definitely going to use them as warm ups.  Can't wait to see them finished!  And yeah, both of them have bite-size...

I'll admit it, that first joke/pun is both hilarious and painful to my ears.  Every pun comes with a heavy serving of cringe, so it can't be helped, but considering the amount of mayhem that line is going to unleash, I think it's totally worth it.

UPDATES!

I was feeling a bit burnt out this week, so I had some fun with a new sticker design and a few fun character designs.  First is Sherry (a bodyguard) and Eben (a diplomat) from LUSTER, and Chip, a game designer from a short story I wrote called, THE TOY.

Tomorrow I start work on the next three pages.  Gonna be a fun batch!

I was hoping to get the next page up this week, but the next scene is pretty important and I really wanna get it right, so I'm gonna sketch out all the details before I start any line art.  I'll be posting more sketches as I go.

This page originally had two more panels with a second punchline, but it really crowded the page.  Fortunately it was a simple fix.  Next page should be up in the next few days.

I also included a few sketches that came out halfway decent.  Not sure if anything will ever come of them though.

Spent last week sending out return packages, ordering stuff for mail club, and fixing my label printer....

December Update

I know that I said I wasn't going to charge anyone for December since I spent most of my time moving and setting up the office, but after reading all your comments, as well as a few well articulated emails, I've decided accept your patronage this month.  Also, moving was really expensive. ^^;  If anyone wants or needs to hold me to my word, just let me know and I'll refund you for the month, but I'm still going to create and post as much as I can before the new year begin...

The office is set up (mostly) and my computer is finally working again!  Here is a panel from an upcoming page.  I might redraw it, but I'm rather pleased with it.  Took a while to get my drawing hand back.

December refund

Hello everyone!

Moving and unpacking and getting the office set up is keeping me busy and I haven’t had any time to draw so I’m going to refund everyone’s December pledge. We’ll be back to our regular programing in January. I can’t do the refund though the app so it’ll have to wait till my computer and the internet is up and running.

Along with getting the office set up, I will also be sending out November mail club, setting up an online store, and making whatever ex...

We made it!

Just under 3000 miles later, we have arrived! Here are some before pictures of the new studio/office space. Looking forward to setting it up so I can not only draw but pack and ship merch in an efficient manner! This is a bigger space than before and I hope it will make life easier.

It’s going to take a few days to get things up and running and then my first priority will be to attend to three black label packages that came back return-to-sender. After that, Mail Club rewards and ...

Today is the day I disassemble my computer and desk, so I'm not sure when I'll be posting next (a least a week.  I will be active over on Twitter @StereoscopeCom1

I needed a break from BLACK LABEL as well as some lower impact work that I could do while I spend the bulk of my time packing and making various arrangements for the big move (so much paperwork).  There were a lot of great ideas and I've got a few more sketches I plan to work on.

First up is 'Something from the backburner': a simple cover for a comic commissioned by Kou32.  You may recognize Jennifer Arcadia Williams and Catherine Sweets from their many supernatural DID advent...

Chapter 8, Page 10-11

Page 10 update, I redid the last panel.  Considerably stronger now!  Also, Madame Lashette is a character from Luster, though her design is a bit different here.  I kinda like it. :)

I'm going to be moving next month, but I'm hoping to get another page done for you guys this coming week, along with some other bonus content.  I'll likely be taking the first two weeks of December for the move/unpacking/recovery.

The Great Escape!

Part of a larger image I want to do.  Sam has a couple characters she likes to play in DnD.  This is one of them.  I'm pretty sure she'll eventually make an appearance in one form or another.  In the meantime, I have a couple fun scenarios I'd like to draw with her. :D

...technically page 5, as I plan to add a page.  I have two pages laid out and ready to go and an couple exclusives coming soon.  With the crowdfundr campaign mostly behind me (I'm now starting to get so 'return to sender' packages that I'll need to take care of) it feels great to have time to draw again.

I don't think I'll be doing a crowdfundr for the next book.  Too much time away from the drawing table.  Setting up a store (which is already on my to do list) and ...

The next 11 pages are gonna be a lot of fun, as we get a short tour around Val's mind.  Her story will be told in first person through her journal entries (Val would never have a diary). ;)

Weekly Update 10.17.2023...

Welcome back everyone!  I am working on some new pages for chapter 8, one that will likely go up tomorrow!  I am spending my mornings going line by line through the campaign order list to make sure everyone that contributed gets all their stuff and I'll be checking my PO box this week as well in case there are any returns.  It still blows my mind the number of people that picked up a copy of my book.  It feels amazing!
