The Novice Disobedience Progress...

...it's coming along.

I've been trying to figure out what I can do for all the $5+ Patrons out there and I thought I would try posting the text comics exclusively to you guys.  Also, I would give you the full comic breakdown so you get to find out what's going on before anyone else.  Let me know what you think.

The second half...

...of the first page of THE NOVICE: DISOBEDIENCE.  Will post it with text once I get the first panel done.  First panel is a bit more complicated that I expected.  Next page should be up in a few days.

Will be on the road tomorrow, but I will have more stuff for you on Friday.  Thinking I'll start aiming for a Monday, Wednesday, Friday posting schedule.  Pretty sure I can handle that. :)

Busy week with an unexpected studio job, but will continue to work on both AMAZON and THE NOVICE alike!   Also need to finish the Q&A comic and an update for DevArt and I hate that I haven't been able to post much there.

Busy day tomorrow.  On the road, but will hopefully have some time for sketching.  For now...Sleep!

Lesson learned

I have some more detailed stuff that will either go up later tonight or tomorrow, but just in case, here's a sketch from THE NOVICE.  I finished the script earlier this week, soooooo... I guess we know what I'll be working on once AMAZON is finished!

My button maker arrived!

I've been playing with it for the past couple of days.  The paper cutter that came with it was shit and the templates I had made were slightly off, so it all required some work, but it's finally coming along nicely!  Very excited!

Now that the button maker issue is under control, I can get back to drawing!

Q&A page 3...

...is pretty much done.  Needs a few touch ups, but I'm pretty happy with it!  Will share the text once all the pages are done.  Comic doesn't go up until June, so you guys get it first!

Weekly Update...

I really need to make these updates a habit. Every Monday. I'm adding it to my calendar. As I've mentioned in the past, I'm a business owner (can't make a living on comics alone) and I've spent the past month not just fulfilling my contracts and driving up and down the west coast from location to location (I logged over 20,000 business miles last year) but also working on my taxes. Tomorrow I make the final push to get them done, then I can get back to drawing on a more regular schedule. As...

...is here!  I love her character design and will likely be drawing more of her in the near future.  This one's done for now.  Hopefully I can make a nice print of her. 

If you haven't checked out the game Neir: Automata, I gotta say it really surprised me.  I wasn't expecting the Japanese Shooter mechanic.  Then it jumped to Side Scroller and Platformer.  This games got it all!

I bought a printer...

...with my Patreon earnings.  In other words, you guys bought me a printer!  I also ordered a button maker which should be arriving in a few days.  Thank you so much for your support!

Now I'll be able to create my own prints, buttons and other such odds and ins for conventions and stuff.  It'll also allow me to improve my print quality before mass production.  Couple things I've learned so far...I need to start working at a higher file size (I usually work at 300dpi, w...

The first two were meant to be part of a panel for Amazon, but I drew them a tad too big and perhaps a bit too detailed in comparison to the rest of the page.  I'll still be using them, but probably not as I originally intented.

I've come to realize that I need to stop trying to draw girls and start drawing cartoon girls.  The more I exagerate the more the drawings start coming together.

A Panel Per Day...

...is the rule I used to go by.  Stopped doing that when I got distracted by a busy holiday season of work (one of the busiest times of the year for everyone).  It's time I got back into the habit.  A panel per day.  More when I can manage it.
