...that I’m gonna scan and draw up on the Wacom this week. Will be perfect for warming up and cooling down after working on Black Label. Have a couple more good ones For later, but this will be a fun one to start with.

Chapter 2, Page 26...

...It felt like the world was conspiring to keep me from finishing this page, but we showed them! :D

Funny story, Panel 3 was originally going to be the final panel of the chapter, ending on a cliff hanger, but it just seemed like a cruel thing to do.  The rest of the chapter was actually moved from chapter 4 (no, not 3).

Just a few more pages to go!  I'm going to be in and out for work the rest of the week, but it's only Tuesday night, so I'm confident we can get anothe...

Weekly Update 06.24.2019...

 …And I’m back early! :)

Despite being on the road, I managed a couple of decent sketches that will definitely require my attention later. Final pages of Chapter 2 are all laid out, so today I start the detailed sketches.

I don’t like thinking about numbers, but it’s important to celebrate when special things happen. We just hit the $700 Milestone with 234 Patrons! This is a huge deal. This is going to allow me to dedicate more time to comics and I can’t wait to see...

Getting home tomorrow...

...which is a day sooner than expected! The final four ages of Chapter 2 are designed (and pretty simple) so I can’t wait to get them loaded up into the computer.

Holy crap I am rusty! I used to be a lot more comfortable/confident with pencil and paper, but I’ve gotten so spoiled with digital. Did manage a pretty nice portrait that I’ll have to finish up.

Sadly this is all I have for this week.  I got the call today that I will be out of town all weekend starting tomorrow.  I'll have my sketchbook with me and the next page is thumbnailed out, so hopefully I can get some detailed sketches done.  I'll be back Sunday night.

It occurs to me that we are well into summer now, so things are going to be getting busy on my end.  I'll just keep hammering...

Page 19 update...

...I added the extra panel at the end and reformatted the panels so there would be more space between panels 5 and 6.  Hopefully the extra space will show that a bit of time has passed and the added panel will make Ellie's excited response on page twenty less abrupt.

Weekly Update 06.17.2019…

...Spent the weekend thinking things over and writing things out and I have decided to add some extra pages to chapter 2. This will round out chapter 2 to an even 30 pages (including a short, single panel bonus comic). It was a scene I was going to share later in the story, but it seemed like a bit much to make everyone wait (this story is a slow enough burn as it is).

There is a minor fix I want to make on page 19 (which went up on D...

...I found out today that I need to go out of town this weekend for work and family stuff so I’m gonna try to get the next page done tomorrow. It’s a pretty simple page (4 panels) and I’ve already started the line art, so I don’t think it’ll be a issue. :)

Going to start by scrapping the first three panels. Thought showing the progression of Ellie getting more and more nervous would be fun, but I think I’ve figured out something else that’ll work better.

Weekly Update 06.10.2019...

…We got two pages done last week! Let’s do that again!

We are soooooo close to the end of chapter 2! Gonna be a fun couple of pages! After that I say we dive right into chapter 3. I’ll have a couple other things I’ll need to draw between chapters, but we’ll get all the pages story boarded and whatnot. The script is sitting on my desktop waiting to be unleashed!

So this chapter was the first day of a busy workweek, the next chapter will be the last day of a busy workweek....
