Brandon's Cult Movie Reviews: Gamera vs. Jiger
Gamera's back and he's taking on his greatest challenge of all: Parenthood!
Gamera's back and he's taking on his greatest challenge of all: Parenthood!
It's jungle exploitation time with "Massacre In Dinosaur Valley"! (Don't expect to see any dinosaurs though.)
Here's my review of "Godzilla vs. Biollate" that was originally posted on Eccentric Cinema. In my "Top 10 Godzilla Films" video, this one came in at #8 where I briefly gave my thoughts on it, but here's a more detailed look at the movie.
Gamera's back for my first video of 2016!
What did I think of the latest installment of the Star Wars saga? Watch n' learn people!
*Note* I'm charging patrons for the post to avoid charging you for 3 posts in January. Therefore, when the next episode of "Brandon's Cult Movie Reviews" is posted (which should be sometime in early January) patrons will NOT be charged for it. Thank you all for your generous support and I will see you in 2016!
Some of you may have seen my video review of the 1970 movie "Bigfoot", but shortly before that, I did a written review of the film for Eccentric Cinema. While episodes of "Brandon's Cult Movie Reviews" are mostly riffs, here I gave my real thoughts on it. So what did I really think of the movie? Well, pretty much what I said in my video review...
Nothin' says Christmas like David Carrradine in a nut-hugger, am I right people?
As some of you may know, I used to write for a website called Eccentric Cinema, which was dedicated to cult/genre films. It was a fantastic site for fans of films from off the beaten path (and a few mainstream ones too) and the only reason I don't still write for it is because it's sadly no longer with us, being forced to shut down at the end of 2014. Fortunately, I had the foresight to take screencaps of all my reviews, and now I'm sharing with you my very first one, posted waaayyy ...

I'm back bitches! And so is Gamera!
Ninja's! Cocaine! Rock Bands! Confused Messages About Violence! It's the 1987 cult classic "Miami Connection"!
Bout' time for some more Gamera!
Hey everyone. I've been having some small technical issues which have resulted in the next "Gamera-A-Thon" entry being delayed by a bit. This has once again forced me to put an old episode here in order to prevent you all from potentially being charged for 3 videos in September. As a result, patrons will NOT be charged when the next episode does come out. Thank you all for your patience and support!
Time for some Euro-superhero action with "Argoman" (1967), where the titular hero steals, kills and holds women hostage...he IS the hero, right?
The Gamera-A-Thon continues with "Gamera vs. Barugon", where Gamera faces off against an ice-spewing killer rainbow lizard...yeah...
Monsters! Cannibals! Awkward comic relief! It's the 1981 adventure flick "Mystery On Monster Island"!
It's sketch time once again boys and girls! This one is a title card sketch for "3 Supermen and Mad Girl" by Enshohma. It shows Mad Girl admiring the movie robot's 'chest cannon' while I'm left in the background with the realization that my own gun doesn't measure up. However, due to some personal problems on Enshohma's end, he was unable to finish it and the more plain photo title card ended up being used instead. This is a real shame, as I personally think this title ca...

Time to take another journey to Turkey with "Lionman". But here's a surprise: It's NOT based off something else!

Hey Everybody! As some of you may already know, in addition to my movie reviews, I also play music, and I've posted a few videos of the bands I've played with on my youtube channel. This particular video isn't posted on my channel, but I am in it, so I figured I'd share it with you. This was done with the band Landing Station, the instrumental band who also made "Land of Living Skies" on my youtube channel. This song is called Mystery Breaker and was performed at MXMB (Mouth by Mouth Breast)...

It's sketch time again! This one was done by John Ridley, aka "Inspector97" on deviantart, offering a break from Enshohma and Earthbaragon. This sketch is of the "sexy mother goose" (which doesn't look anything like the mother goose from the movie unfortunately!) which was then shrunk down and put on the magazine that I'm reading, much to my shock and surprise. John's specialty is drawing beautiful women, and it's a shame that this had to be shrunk down and barely visible on the full title ca...

Ok, so if you're wondering why you're being charged for THIS particular video, it's because i've been having some issues which have resulted in my next video being delayed by a bit. This would result in patrons potentially being charged for 3 reviews in March, which given that you're already being so generous to me is asking a lot of you. As a result, patrons will NOT be charged when my next review is finally posted, which will (hopefully) be very soon. Thank you so much for your patience and so...

Celebrate Valentine's Day with "Queen Kong", because nothing says romance like a snarky Canadian riffing a cult film!

It's sketch time once again! This time it's a little pencil sketch of the weirdly KKK looking inquisitor from "The Lost Continent" by Enshohma. This one was never intended to be a title card, Enshohma just drew it as a little goof.

This is a rough sketch by Enshohma from when he first proposed doing title cards for me. As a 'test run', I asked him to provide title cards for episodes that I had already put out to see if he would be a good fit for my show, and two that he proposed were for "Barbarella" and this one for "The Lost Continent". Ultimately Barbarella would be the one that made it to completion and ended up getting used. Not that this one wouldn't have made a great title card, since it shows me enjoying some of...
