When brainstorming I like to work with a whiteboard to make sure the idea works in concept and the composition is strong. It saves a lot of time since I can be as messy as I want.

Hey there guys!
This month has been slow for content, so I just wanted to give you an update on what's been going on. Late April I was contacted by Sofawolf to do a rush piece for their ongoing series "Heat", which I did complete, but do to their contract I am not able to release the image on Patreon until the publications release. So my sister is expecting her first child very soon and I want to surprise her when she gives birth with this piece as a literal birthday present!
Characters and quote are from "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. If you haven't read it or even just seen the 2015 animated film I highly recommend it!
BTW that's my signature IRL, which I only use for close friends and family.

Transferring over the image onto normal printer paper and then using graphite technique to transfer to 400lb hot press watercolour paper.

Colouring is going by a lot faster now that I've figured out a working orange pallet. I know I should work on both characters at the same time, but having all the different coloured markers on my work table takes up way too much space.
