Switching to 'charge up front'

Filled in the shading for his clothes and as you can notice I screwed up on the colour of his pants. Thank God it turns out they were black cause that is the difference between an easy fix and crying in the shower :p

That's all the WIPs that I have for this guy, cause I blasted through the rest of him with not much consideration for anything else other than getting this done on time.

Got the fur mostly figured out, now I putting the base tone down for his clothing. You can also see the previous copy where I screwed up on inking, which I now use to test my paints before applying them.

So I won the biweekly sona challenge on twitter and the winner get's to have their OC be the subject for the next round. So I had to fucking RUSH this picture in one day when I found out I was in the far lead so I can get it win on time. Since the image has to go public right away I'm throwing you guys the high res again like last time.

Edited version of the Ad for the 15th issue of Sofawolf's Heat series. I was contacted by one of the publishers to do a rush order for one of their pages. I only had about a week to work on it, but I'm pretty pleased with the result :) One of the staff completed the digital text for me.

The Ad is for a kennel and training service called Breaking Point. They will take in your new or disobedient 'pet' and set them straight or even if you just need them well taken care of if you're away ;)...

Working on all the background and details. I use a latex glove and rest my hand on saran wrap to minimize any smudging that may occur, cause I'm a klutz with a heavy hand!

Starting on the puppers! You can see some of the shading and loose lighting as I plan out the wolf's pattern.

Continuing shading in the horse. With full scale drawings like this, I'll often do the backgrounds last to minimize the amount of smudging and re detailing later on.

I... didn't like how the characters were coming out in the water colour so I retransferred and decided to continue in pencil.

Made my background wash, now to peel the masking off and start the characters

Decided to try out finishing this piece in watercolour. I proceeded to grad some heavyweight hot press watercolour paper and stretch it for the night. I then transferred the image using the handy graphite technique and then covered the foreground with masking fluid.
