This Week Agenda

Remember last week when I said I was putting out a listing of all the upcoming films for the next few months? Well, I lied! I got caught up in editing some of those upcoming films, and, well, just didn't have the time.

So this week for sure, I'll put a listing out that will show you what movies-of-the-month will be out for the next few months, and when Season 14 starts and what new films will be part of it.

I promise.

First Look

I'm almost done with editing on 'The Devil in the Details'. After that I just have to decide where it will fall on my release schedule.

But...time for a break for some football. I've been at this editing all weekend.

So Far

This happened during the week. I'm currently in editing mode. I'll post pics as soon as I can.

Last Night

Last night I had the opportunity to see Alex on stage in a comedy show which she wrote! It was a terrific show, and I owe her a drink to celebrate.

Looking forward to working with her again. I've got a script just waiting for her.

What's Next?

Now that you've gotten the rewards for this month and many of you (most of you!) have had a chance to view 'Samhain', the movie-of-the-month, the question is; "what's next"?

Well, I hope to answer that soon. I'm going to post a calendar of all the upcoming films for the next 6 months soon. Probably next week! This will give you a peek at what's coming up with both the name and a brief logline for each film. Even a couple of stills!

Charges!

Patreon is putting through their charges! As I mentioned earlier, I don't know if rewards will go out tonight or tomorrow, as it is both a holiday and a weekend. But I'll keep you advised.

Looking Toward 2023

This Weekend

So, January 1st falls on a Sunday. Usually Patreon cycles through its charges by evening of the 1st, however as this will be a Sunday AND a holiday, they may not be as swift. So you might look for awards on Monday the 2nd.

Either way, I'll keep an eye on the page Sunday evening just to be sure.

The current snowpocalypse here in the city has afforded me some terrific winter shots, and I'm taking advantage of it. I've come home to some wine and French fries and I'll enjoy some football this weekend.

Life

I did a fake Life magazine cover and sent it off to a printer. Unfortunately the printing machine was broken and I couldn't get it in time to include as a prop in the film. So you'll see a brief image of this in 'Samhain', but know that it was supposed to be a prop that one of the characters would spin through.

In Less Than Two Weeks...

...is the premiere of 'Samhain'. Also I'll present a list of all the upcoming films for the next few months, all the way up until the premiere of Season 14! That'll give you a little foresight, and hopefully increase interest in the upcoming projects as I introduce more and more trailers!

Sometimes between editing, to give myself a break, I'll switch to either writing a new script, or working on a poster for an upcoming film.

'Aztec' will arrive some time in 2023. Fun film. Everyone involved really enjoyed it. Even though there was a certain amount of fake blood...

Today

A lot is going on today. The actors in 'Samhain' are getting a look at the completed film, and I'm finalizing the cast for an upcoming shoot entitled 'The Cave'.

The Result

There will be a new trailer this week - maybe tomorrow? It will show the movie of the month for January. In January I'll also publish a list of the upcoming movies for the following 4 months, on to season 14.

I did a lot of editing today. The above is the leftover from one of my shoots, the rest of which you'll see in the upcoming months.

On My Calendar

This weekend I'll be in the editing room. Hopefully next week I can emerge with a trailer for an upcoming film.

For the New Year

What I'm working on is a schedule I can publish of upcoming movies-of-the-months. This schedule would list films and their synopsis at a minimum of 6 months out, to give you an idea of what to look forward to.

Anyway, that's the plan. When it will be available, I'm not sure, but hopefully in early January.

Fun Fact #5

The lead actor in 'Tenebrous' left thinking the movie would be bad. When he saw the finished film he was blown away.

This film is actually one of my favorite recent films. It's in that 'Suspiria', 'Tenebrae' group of giallo films done by Dario Argento. I saw a lot of those movies as a kid, and though they weren't my favorite they were always in my head. I was happy to do something that fit in with that genre.

Fun Fact #4

I didn't impart this to Alex, but in her nude dance in 'Variation' I had in mind Britt Ekland's dance from 'The Wicker Man'.

For the record, I have that dance as an inspiration in one of my upcoming short films...

Fun Fact #3

Erica, in 'The Sight', had to mutter a Bible passage. I asked her just to mutter anything, but she revealed she'd memorized the Lord's Prayer in full when young, and did the entire thing from memory.
