Charges!

Alright, Patreon has begun putting through their charges. As soon as they've completed this act I'll send out rewards. For newcomers, charges go through at different rates - in other words, you may be charged right away, but another patrons card may not be successfully charged until much later. So at the latest I should be able to send out rewards by tomorrow.

The Next Film

A new prop, for an upcoming film. Shooting in December? Possibly. But it's mostly the next film.

Of course it's way too early to talk about the significance of a wrinkled dollar bill, but it is a key element of this film.

Casting will begin the second week of December.

Today

I don't know if it's your holiday, but for my U.S. supporters, Happy Socially Distanced Thanksgiving! Stay physically apart, but keep everyone close in your hearts!

Early Work

This was one of the first indie films I worked on a long time ago. I was the sound recordist.

The making of this would make a hell of a documentary - it involves sex, the mob, even a mysterious death. Really, really interesting.

But the movie itself...not so much so!

Today

The prop from today's shoot. This will be a short pickup which will finish a couple of the projects I'm working on. Fingers crossed.

SCRIPT

Here's part of a page from 'I, Witness' which just shot this week past. The actress, I have to say, did a tremendous job. Not everyone can be convincing while soaking wet and naked!

Shooting

I have three films in various stages of shooting/editing, 'ASMR', 'I, Witness', and 'The Waving Man'. The latter is more than likely the last time I'll be using Breanna in a film. Illinois has just gone into more severe restrictions, so hopefully I'll be able to finish them.

We'll see.

UPCOMING

I'm working on a trailer for ASMR. Hope to have it in the next week.

I still have one actor left to shoot, but that will be it. So far, it's looking like a pretty interesting piece. And Dani is just lovely in this.

Trillian

That's the actress' name. We shot last night for what will more than likely be January's movie of the month.

It was an extremely windy and rainy night last night (perfect setting for a horror film), and Trillian was coming from out of state. I was afraid she wouldn't arrive but she came through the rain, and was even early.

This was her first production, and she did a really terrific job. You'll be impressed with her performance.

PART TWO

Today was part two of my shoot on 'ASMR', with Cooper joining the cast. As I previously mentioned, this will be the December movie of the month.

Next week I'll be shooting another short, this one destined for January's movie of the month. Trying to get a bit ahead because around the holidays it's traditionally more difficult to secure talent.

You've got a couple of good movies on your way. And hopefully early next year I'll have enough films for season nine!

Today

So this was today's shoot.

A lot went on today - in the country and in the world. Dani and I were shooting when we heard the news and rejoiced - then we got back to shooting.

I won't have a new season in December, but  I will have a movie of the month available, 'ASMR' starring Dani. Look for it.

Cast!

Though the picture looks very much like a mug shot, I have cast this actress in an upcoming short under the working title of "I, Witness". She has a great look and is eager to work on the film, so much so that she's actually traveling from a neighboring state to be in it.

So this is the second film I have scheduled for this month. Should I go for a third film? I guess we have to see how the pandemic holds up.

Casting

Hmmmmm. Nothing definite right now, but I'm giving this actress some serious consideration for the lead in one of the upcoming shorts I have in mind.

I'll let you know if I give her a thumbs up or down. What do you think?

I got the late evening message from Patreon that everything was ready, and so I've sent out rewards. This is based on the info given me - hope no one was missed. If so, just shoot me a message and I'll check it out tomorrow.

I'm already gearing to shoot new projects. I've posted a few casting notices. Now let's see if anyone responds. One actress I wanted to work with has been diagnosed with Covid. My best wishes to her.

Reaction

I screened 'The Wall' for the lead, Alexandria, and this was her reaction.

'The Wall' will be at the $10 level for season eight, premiering next month.

Editing

Ok, I only have one more supporting actor to shoot and I'll be finished with principal photography on season eight. I'm deep in editing and it will take a couple more weeks to finish it up. Just got through shooting my fake newscasts, which are always fun.

After season eight, well, we have to see how the virus affects us all. I was about to schedule a new film but all the actresses I contacted were frightened to go out for a shoot. Makes it tough.

Well, this has been a week. I've sent out rewards - or at least I think I have. Patreon has gone down 4 times in 2 days, once while I was sending out the rewards (so hopefully you all got them). A couple of people I didn't send rewards to intentionally because as far as Patreon is telling me, they didn't collect payment from you. This may change.

MONTHLY VIEWING

Don't forget, my films are available only as monthly rentals. Those of you who've been with me awhile know that I'm rather lax in enforcing that, but from time to time I do.

YESTERDAY'S SHOOT

'The Wall' is a rather macabre story. I'll leave you with that, until I get a teaser out. But know that the shoot yesterday which brings me onto the home stretch, went well. Shooting a single actor at a time is challenging - especially when it comes to setting identical light levels, however we have to do what we have to do in these crazy times.

The Darkest Part of the City

After the rewards were issued the promoter of the competition admitted he was friends with the man who won and had planned on giving him the 1st place all along.

Semi-Finalist

I almost never enter festivals now, however for shits and giggles I entered 'The Hum' in this fest and just received notice that it has been elevated to the semi-finalist position. Nice.

JULY

Where did my June go? Charges go out tomorrow, everyone! The movie of the month will be 'Swipe', and if the gods that control viruses are willing July will be a busy shooting month for me in which I'll shoot several films both to finish out season seven, and to have several movies of the month! I'll let you in, send you bts shots and clips, all as I go along!

PATREON

According to the info I've received, some of you should have received notice from Patreon that beginning in July they will start to charge tax for some of your donations. The percent will vary, as tax tends to, based on where you are. I don't know if everyone will be taxed, since there notification they sent me is that 'some' will be. Again, Patreon should have sent you notification if you are to be taxed. Please read it and be aware.
