Direction changes

Don't worry, this isn't anything dire, I'm not canceling anything or changing any update stuff. I just wanted to take a moment to talk about some changes for certain characters that are coming up ahead of the incremental tomorrow (and the public release the week after).

Public Release: Devious World a74

Welcome back to another month of all this stuff that this is!

This was one of those months where I had a lot of good ideas but had difficulty finding the focus to follow through on most them. What ho, gang! Well, Jamie ho, this week, as there's a brief return to one of his older paths (where his mom and her friend group have gone demon-dicked), but also a return to one of his slightly less old paths (the Pokemon journey). I've added the option for him to get just a regular Pokemon so that there can be a better focus on the devious-ed Pokemon world around him rather than it being directly influenced by which Pokemon he picks.

Kind of a "bleh" week for inspiration and focus on average, but I gotta say the new Helen stuff I've added this week is pretty great. I was gonna crank out some more before the update today, but I need to get ready, doing Father's Day stuff today rather than Sunday to avoid crowds.

(Will I figure out some father-themed content for the month? Entirely possible. Or maybe I'll just write more lewd teacher-student adventures in Japan, you know as much as I do about what my brain's gonna do....

Of course, it may be obvious I've been messing with Skyrim a lot again lately (and modding the hell out of it), inspiring me to bring some of the fun to you. Jamie's vanilla Skyrim has seen some progress, Cyan can now start modded Skyrim (if only just), there's some more stuff of Jamie and Maya using Digitizer scenarios, and a newly-inserted branch where Anubilis-Eric can lay low and deceive Rei for a while.

Again it's been quite a week. Started with my internet going out for about three days, then my phone battery deciding to expand its horizons (as in it swelled up and popped the case open), waiting for my new computer all Tuesday only for it to get bumped to Wednesday delivery (and then getting here first thing in the morning, thoroughly distracting me with trying to get everything set up on both it and my new phone simultaneously), and whew.

Tier changes

Hey guys. Earlier I talked about possibly doing some changes going ahead, and I've decided to go ahead with that.

A long time back I did a post talking about how back when the Devious World patreon got started, I chose $10 as the amount for access to incrementals basically arbitrarily. I kind of just picked a number out of the air to try out, but people seemed largely happy to pay it and the number of subscribers at it was fairly consistent.

The Return(ish)

Hey everyone. As you might recall, I made a post before saying I planned to return to updates this month, and that's still the plan. An incremental build will be posted Friday, containing all the bits and pieces I've been working on since I resumed working last month. It's not as much as I liked... it was a rough month in a lot of ways, and seeing it out was the big kicker.

As you might know if you're on the Discord server, my computer died on Friday. Seems the power supply just couldn'...

April billing

It looks like when I tried to pause billing, Patreon instead only turned it off for a month, meaning the April billing cycle went through and charged everyone and I didn't notice. Sorry about that.

While I think I am close to resuming posting, and probably will do so starting next month at the latest, I'm not going to bill in May to make up for this, but also if you want a refund on the April bill because you weren't expecting it or whatnot, just let me know in the comments and I'll tak...

Release Day

A while back I changed to Monday releases instead of Saturday. Originally it was just a one-time thing because of how the first of the month often weirds releases, but it wound up working out better anyway for my scheduling.

My scheduling isn't quite as big a deal anymore due to various things changing, so I'm open to hearing other options than Mondays if people would prefer something different. Some of them would be slightly weird for my work flow, but I'm still willing to be accommoda...

Starting work on DW again

No other changes or announcements right now, just letting you know I am working on the game again.

Will let you know when I'm actually ready to return to a regular schedule, and similarly when I plan to resume the monthly charge.

Hiatus

Hey, all. Kind of a difficult post to write for a lot of reasons, but it won't be too long of one.

For the time being, I'm going to be leaving the monthly charge off, and continue taking a break from Devious World.

I've always said that Devious World, Devious Mundanity, etc. are passion projects, and that I'm proud of the quality of them because I write things that I think would be great to read, and that I'm inspired to write. And before when I've taken breaks, especially longer ...

Short story: Princess Guardian Downfall

Just the one this week guys. I had a lot of "open a google document and stare blankly" this week, along with a lengthier false start on something else, and this was all I was able to get done on the lewd side. Pretty obvious I'm burnt out by this point. If I can't get my productivity up by next week, I'll put charging on pause before the first of February.

Short stories: Timely Bully Breaking & Magiscientific Method

Deeefinitely not a great amount of content this week, but in my defense, Christmas. (Merry Christmas btw!) Got another bit of Caliburn in the labyrinth of change, a bit of Ranma porn (always reliable) and just a tad of Jamie in the cognitive world.

This next week and for the public release I'll either be trying to continue the Caliburn stuff and maybe some of the others from early in the month, or maybe look at some stuff with Dan or Callista, since it's been awhile.

This month's schedule

See this is why I hate when the first is on a Wednesday, it basically gives no good options for a public release and then getting back on track for the standard schedule.
