I'll be at MFF this week!

I'll be going to my first con this week! A few friends convinced me to go with them, and I'm generally curious what it'll be like. If you're going to MFF and see me walking around, feel free to stop me and say hi!

Regarding the "Suggestion Box"

I'll be reviving this once I'm back from my vacation! I stopped it because I was so busy with commission work that I thought I could make up ground by pausing on this for a month or so... clearly I was wrong. ^^;

I think it's a really attractive reward for most people, and could encourage more people to become patrons.

The suggestion box will primarily remain a Tier V reward, but I think I'll occasionally make it available for all patrons - maybe once every five times? That way ev...

This page was originally drawn back in April, as it features Dogbomb1's character! I wanted to make sure he saw it before he passed away. He gave me permission to use his character in my story - he became a medic for this page. :3 It works really well because Dogbomb worked as a vet tech in his normal life. He also got to choose his own dialogue for the first panel.

Sketch WIP for Little Runt (Page 25)

The dialogue was even altered a bit from this stage. As I read the page over more and more, I massaged the writing further until I got it into a place I liked. :3

Originally he was going to be called Joe Irwin (no reason for Joe, it just fit), but I decided to name him Taylor Irwin, with Taylor being a reference to my cat of almost 17 years!

Also as you can see, a few other changes, like the win-loss ratio, and some of the dialogue. Dialogue was changed to feel more natural, and the win-loss ratio was changed to feel more believable and function with the story better later on. You'll see why eventually!

Little Runt (Page 26)

The top drawing speaks for itself. The second one is a silhouette I made for the book cover! I thought the cover looked too basic with just text and needed something with low visual impact to fill it up. :3 I added some bevel to it afterwards as well.

Whoops, sorry! I forgot to schedule a post for today.

As you can see, I originally had Nes wiping his other eye, and his Dad's face not visible. I changed the former so Nes's face would be more visible, and I changed the latter cause I wanted to show the Dad's aged face, which wasn't very easy to see on the previous page. Oh, and I changed it from "Volume II" to actually show the year dates.

Surprise!! My wrist was feeling better (I think I strained my thumb) so I was able to do this page this week after all.

There's going to be a list of names later on in Little Runt. I need some names for it, and I thought putting the characters of Patreon supporters (Tier IV+) would be a nice easter egg!

If you'd like your character's name to be part of it, post it below! I'll use it as either a first or last name, whichever is more suitable. If you provide a full name, I may use that too provided it fits "in universe." Also just a warning: depending on how many names I get, I may not be able to use every...

Possible Delay for Little Runt Pages

My left wrist is bothering me, so I'm going to be resting it so I don't make it worse and give myself a strain injury. If it starts to feel better I'll resume my work, but I think it'll be prudent of me to take care of it before it gets worse.

As a result, the next page of Little Runt will probably be delayed. Sorry! :(
