The second image was a first pass I did for the cuddling expression, but had to abandon it because it wasn't going to work with the YCH character added. I'm gonna include it here cause he looks cute. X3

Also for bigger sheets like this, I often just draw wherever I please and worry about organizing later. You can see how this sheet looks differently organized than the one I uploaded later.

This was for FFBacklash on Twitter! I made a challenge for someone to meet or exceed my donation pledge to the Children's Miracle Network, and the first person to do so would get some art from me in return. FFBacklash met the challenge, and this was the result! :3

I decided to get rid of that little "sniff" in the second panel. I wanted that scene to be as quiet as possible, and having Nes making no sound at all felt more emotionally impactful.

Also, that bottom panel was HARD to do. I had to get the background perfectly symmetrical, but most of all, I had to figure out how to get Irwin and Nes to hug tightly while sitting on a bench, and have their expressions perfectly visible. The solution i arrived at worked great! But it took me almost a few...

As you can see, I changed the dialogue slightly for this from the original script. For example, I thought Nes's Dad calling Nes "son" was a bit redundant since on the previous page, Nes said "Dad?" It already made the relationship implicit.

See the click by the phone in the top left? I decided to phase out those tiny little sound effects, since I thought they might be distracting from what's important.

The lockers are a pattern I made, so don't worry, I don't have to individually draw and ink them each time... one of the benefits of working digitally, lol. I do have to color it by hand each time, though.

I changed the time and date for the final page. The date became the birthday of a close friend of mine, and the time was just some numbers I thought looked better, lol. I also removed the bandages (since he didn't get hit in those areas, and only got hit a few times during the fight), and removed the garbage can in the foreground of panel 1.
