This was the commission that came out of that food bank fundrasier. :3

I'm making today's posts available to all my patrons - a little Christmas gift from me. ;3
The second image was the first pass of this. If you flip back and forth with the first one, you can see all the micro-adjustments I made to get it just right.
I hope everyone has had a wonderful Christmas!!

I really like lighting aesthetics like this. <3

First image was the approved one, the second image was when it was partially done (eg. he has no hat). :3

Here's a preview of a sticker pack I'm working on. I really love how this one in particular turned out. :3

Whoops, I just realized I forgot to share this part of the comic. My bad!
I've also included a screenshot from me halfway through altering panel one's expression for panel two. Tem looked a little crazy so I had to save it. XD

Nes delivering a blow to a wolf, during an amateur fight before the events of Little Runt. This was suggested by Paly back in the summer. I've wanted to do it for a while, but I neglected to after getting wrapped up in commissions - until now. :3
I tied the sketch down, but I actually like the sketch more after comparing both. It seems to have more energy to it for some reason, so I'll share that one around and keep the tied down one for patrons. Which version do you like more? 2019-12-21 21:03:27 +0000 UTC View Post
This is almost 5000 pixels across!

The first image is the approved sketch! With a more wolf-ish snout.
The second image was the first pass, that was reworked into the first one.
The third image is the flat color image, to both serve as a check to make sure I got the markings right before shading, but also for the commissioner to give future artists so they can more easily see the colors and markings.
And finally, the fourth image is what I made before I began painting. The soft shadowing gives me a "scaffoldi...

Now you can see so much more detail of that beautiful otter-bod. :V Enjoy!
The other comic (the one with O'Hare Airport) wasn't given it's full-res art post because I actually made it too small by accident, haha. The version you see posted online is basically how big it actually was.

[I'VE MADE THIS POST AVAILABLE TO ALL PATRONS - ENJOY! <3]
The first picture is an alternate version I did for this picture last year! Originally I had Ferris as part of my yearly birthday post, with him giving a gift to Tem and some of my characters in the background. But, after thinking on it, I thought it'd be more suitable if he made his "reappearance" for Christmas instead. As a result, this sketch was scrapped and never got to see the light of day - until...

Why does this sketch WIP look different from all the other pages? There's a good reason!
I originally planned to do Little Runt in a loose inking style, where I'd essentially draw in ink and then color that. You can kind of see it if you look back at the cover when it premiered.
I was considering it because I figured it would be faster and not really hurt the style! But as I found out later, it was actually just as slow as a my usual, cleaner method because I didn't have an ...

I thought about keeping the comic like this, but after trying the tiedown method of cleaning it up, it simply looked way better. X3

The second image here is how the badge version existed, with more of Tem's body visible. :3 I got advice from a friend that I should show in to make Tem's face more visible, so that's the direction I went with in the end!

The first drawing is the sketch I went with in the end. The other two are some flat color versions I had saved out to show friends. The fourth image is a couple of head angles I didn't go with and abandoned early on, and finally the fifth is just a screenshot of me in the middle of inking. :3

And here's the full-res art, at almost 4,000px across! And I've included a black and white version that I thought also looked good. :3

Here are the various WIPs of the coloring process I saved out! They're all in order. You can get a sense of my painting process by looking at them sequentially - how I build things up and which areas I focus on first. :3

This was the original drawing I gave Aniki to look at, and get a sense of the mood. :3
Also included: the sketch without the pre-vis shading.
This was requested by Andy S! The art was originally posted back in March of 2018: https://www.deviantart.com/temiree/art/Otter-Team-Captain-737271249
After coloring the character, I ended up liking it so much I went with adding a background too. :3 I didn't want to deal with drawing an entire stadium (it's hard, going by my experience with Little Runt), so I blurred it and dimmed...

Not too much to say about the sketch - I remember it starting as just a headshot, but I liked it so much I expanded it out further!

Not too much to say here either - things generally went as planned. I was fortunately able to reuse the background from page 23 for the top panel (I planned ahead to do so), and the bottom panel didn't need much of one - just text effects. SO! This page went by more quickly than usual. :3

Not much to say here, other than I made the fade-back panel more detailed as far as dialogue goes. Thought it'd be better to tap on certain things a bit more obviously, like Shadow being concerned after nearly killing Nes. x3
Going to make another post for today, since this one isn't too substantial!
