Whooooops, thought I had something ready to post today, but I didn't!

I have a commission waiting for final approval, but for now, here's an art preview of something else that's in the works. It'll be one of the first things I'll be working on once my new computer is ready to be used. It's almost there - I mostly gotta move it and then connect all the things that need connecting. :3

The second image has the original colors of this character! This ref sheet was commissioned for the purpose of giving him a new color scheme, so the top one is canon.

The second image was a first pass of the first pose, where he had a more determined look! This was dialed back to something more unsure and nervous.

As you can tell, two versions were made. One with clothes, and one without. The glasses weren't added in the end because they obscured the eyes a bit too much with the darker lighting conditions.

Click the right arrow on the images to see the process. As you can tell by the first image, I originally planned for a sunset, but decided against it so the orange fur of the character would stand out more and be a stronger focal point. The more dreary, Bladerunner-esque setting was much more fitting, anyway.

Summary of Art (2019)

And as is tradition, here is my summary of art for 2019. I posted  approximately 211 art pieces this year - down from last year, but it's  partly due to working on Little Runt most of the year. It was really  hard choosing which pieces of art should represent which months. Making  these summaries feels like I'm giving out awards to pieces of art, lol.  Like which one is the best for various reasons. Use of color, character  appeal, memorability, etc. I had to nar...

One face from an upcoming expression sheet! I'm waiting for approval on it. :3 The design is (mostly) mine. The commissioner wanted a female Anubis character with that kind of headdress, and left the rest up to me. I'm pretty happy with how she turned out!
