YGGFK composing wips + art!

Finally started putting together some completed scenes in After Effects trying to figure the program out and OOoohooo it's coming together well >:D! It's thankfully similar to Hitfilm (yay darkmode now) and I get so pumped with excitement seeing the result of so much hard work!!!

Definitely planning on recording how I set up and work with parallaxing and blurs as its the exact same as my previous editing program (so might cover both!) Might stream some editing in the server this mo...

YGGFK BG wips + oc art + commissions & more!

Plenty of art this round! I finished a ref commission (+2 wip sketches of icon comms), a chibi Salmiak (+ fish version wip) Louixie on Proceate for myself + Fishy’s ref (mascot now woo!) and a blender model of it for fun + more AMV backgrounds, traditional avian patron sketch rewards drawn whilst in Rome and finally a digital sketch for my friend Lu!

A bonus thing I haven’t mentioned before is that reference sheet comms includes an icon version if desired just as shown here👀

Veadotube (2d streaming avatar) walkthrough

I recorded this before I made more expressions to use as examples but I hope it's of help!!

Veadotube is such a fun program to use and really adaptable! I also forgot to mention gifs can be imported so you could even animate movements yourself to elevate the avatar further!

I highly recommend keeping the art simple for the sake of consistency when doing different expressions, but if you're like and can't help but shade etc I cannot recommend using liquify tools enough for the sub...

YGGFK bg/scene wips + Dewdrop art!

Hello! I've gotten around to finish a few backgrounds for the AMV and I'm loving how it's turning out so far! 

I've had to rely lots on fog and blur to make the characters stand out which also happens to be my favourite type of composition haha, it's really fun drawing more stylised environments and they're pretty quick to get through as well!!

New oc(s)+ other art

I came across a design I couldn't resist so here is Glacierhawk; Falconflight's father! I rarely get attached to more "painted" and detailed patterns but this one won my heart, and since he hopefully won't be animated I felt he could be detailed. I still tried to make his build and face similar to his son :)

YGGFK color video wip

Coloring is all done!! Next month will focus on bgs, learning how to puppet/tween and edit in after effects and then it'll be all done at last! I'll definitely be recording lots of bg speedpaints and I'm curious as to how I'll tackle the fight scenes' backgrounds as well, very exciting!

Still far to go but I'm so happy to see the colors and details put together in this one so far. The canvas is twice as big as this render so I hope the airbrushed markings will look better in the final ...

Finished Ghibli MAP part - collab with MuneAJ!

Will be public this weekend!! So happy to have this part done and it was an absolute joy working with Mune they did so amazingly well on the character animation ;_;

AMV color wip + new stream avatar + wips and more

Happy to tell a near third of the project's shots were all colored today, I am also going all in rendering the eyes in my usual style (the rotation scene having the eyes all shaded frame by frame instead of my regular copy paste method for animation); a lot of effort but so worth >:D

I also made a streaming avatar (veadotube) for my sona as I want to go back to using her more and rebrand back to her as a character to represent me and my socials. Magpiewing has become more of a story...

YGGFK AMV LINEART DONE!

ohmygosh it's 3 am and I've been using every fiber of my being to finish this today, I've probably been sat for like 12 hours today alone finishing the final shot but it's HERE and I'm both dreading and looking forward to the coloring/background stages now >:)

Only one more shot to line! I'm very happy I changed the original roughs and the entire animation was a huge challenge but I learned a lot, I know for certain I wouldn't have been able to pull it off just a year ago or so; drawing hundreds of cats has helped :,D

Heya! Today I'm bringing more updates for the AMV, only 2 fighting shots left to line and then it's color time! I redid the roughs for one of said shots as I felt there wasn't enough action (old version at the far right) and I also did 2 little traditional ink studies with the stylised bgs I wish/consider going for based of comics! these in particular were referenced from the animal castle comic/book series!

33/39 shots for the amv has been lined so it's getting there >:D! Might be wihsful thinking but I'm hoping to have the whole thing lined by the end of the month! Any still frames will hopefully be puppeted/tweened which I can't wait to explore and try out!

I also finished up most pieces of Puffingpaw, a bit unsure how I feel abt him but fun to draw nonetheless! The other pieces are a chibi trade and another avian patron reward!

Cosplays showcase

Hello everyone and happy friday! I've managed to plow through owed art including a bunch of commissions as well as making doodles for avian patrons again!

The dark bat themed kitty will be up as an adopt on toyhou.se tomorrow and I did a pair of anime styled eyes again after having not done them in forever, might update my commission sheet with them if they'd be of interest!

YGGFK AMV so far (2)

oooooooO nearing completion of all the rough animation which means the most time consuming part will be done and over with!

I've been fearful of working on the majority of the fight scenes due to how inexperienced I am with fast paced choreography but I spent time gathering animation references from both other warriors animations but also a bunch of anime shots to really try and grasp how they pace such speedy movements, very happy with how it's all coming along >:)

Since Nothing Left To Lose is so close to finishing I've had to put a lot of time into helping and editing things, I managed to do the entire cleanup of this collab with Ashtrall's rough animation today which is a new record I think.... I can't recommend collabing with people enough; a lot of knowledge of timing and movements has come from doing cleanup/lineart of other animator's work! :D
