many! new! pieces!

I've been very fed up with lining the amv and so focused on owed art like the toyhou.se raffle and more corvidclan portraits for their pages, I finished sketching all the remaining portraits and the majority will be bundled up in a future speedpaint!

I also binged a bunch of crafting videos and got really inspired to finally finish up my Comet custom! I'm very happy with how it turned out and I hope to nab another warriors figurine to record a tutorial somet...

Animation shot - breakdown/walkthrough + file

Here it is! This video mostly tackles inbetweening and is a fairly small and short vid to start out with! I want to record more like these but also talk directly as I animate, voicing my progress as I actually sit with the animation etc!

I also included the file if anyone wishes to have a direct look in the clip file, feel free to recreate the animation for practise purposes (meaning it may not be published publically)!

The speedpaint! See full res in this post! I'm hoping the double layout is of interest for people, it's hard placing out the smaller screen but I thought it'd be fun to try and showcase both the automated speedpaint and a direct recording of my screen!

Here is the piece I created to try a first proper public speedpaint, I thought for a long while on what to draw and I felt canon warriors would be fun! Feel free to use this for desktop or tablet backgrounds etc, using them as icons with cred is alright too!

I was originally hoping to record a shot breakdown today but having family in the house made that impossible with my anxiety buT I will give it another go next week as I'm determinded to get one of those vids out this month >:O!!

So instead have a bunch more oc art and AMV wips!! Including a Harpypounce chibi and more corvidclan members for their toyhou.se decor!

Art + wips

Finally satisfied with the storyboard of the first fight sequence and although its super rough I'm increibly excited to work on the rough animation and clear up all the movements!

I've also finished and sketched up a bunch of OC pieces inbetween the AMV project so to not go crazy, all these are for their respective toyou.se pages and such!

Finally are some colorful raffle sketches and a symmetrical icon for an avian patron who won an the recent adopt bid C:

Speed paint/animation - January

Here is a shorter video with a couple recent pieces alongside 2 shots from the AMV! I'm especially curious if the animation process is of interest to see this way (and if I should record more) since it goes so fast and might be hard to learn from, or if the process is enjoyable to watch this way still!

I'm hoping to record at least one shot breakdown this month and hopefully more in February too! I also hope I can bite the sour apple and do some color palett tests soon as well >:)<...

AMV wip so far

Pleasantly surprised to find myself nearly halfway done in terms of the AMV's length (still far more animation to go) and I'm so thrilled with how it's coming along >:) I'll be tackling the rest of the storyboard soon as I wasn't satisfied with eariler shots and really rushed ideas, you have this very good ending included here until then

AMV wips + art

I bring more lined shots woo! Been working super hard to get more progress out for you guys and I hope to stream the clenaup of the rough gifs featured in this post this week! My gosh did am I struggling as lineart is one of my less enjoyed stages and it's not what I spent 80% of my waking hours on, very happy with how things are coming along though!

AMV wips + art

I've been able to work through more shots for the AMV and the choughpaw cleanup was all done in one patreon discord stream (thanks again to those who joined!), the eye shot (+og sketch further in) I've documented stages of in hopes of recording a breakdown of it and I really hope to dive into specific shots giving tips and recording the different process steps!! Def gonna be streaming more this upcoming week!

I also finished up 2 trades and one gift today and a bg for the nothing left ...

A bunch of OC pieces because I can never leave doodles and sketches I like unrendered! I also completed one (2nd image) commission so far this month and I've contacted a couple people about invoices and I'm confident I'll be able to get through a few more after those as well!

oh man storyboarding this, esp fighting choreography is insanely difficult but so so fun to see come to life!! Some parts will be reworked and once I get to sketching things out more properly I'll hopefully be able to show timeskips better as it follows her entire training arc and it does make some awkward jumps, It was originally gonna be longer which would make the progress more legible but that'll be too much work so I'm trying to condense it which adds to the fast and cool pacing!!

Art + wips + AMV wips + studies

Thanks so much for your patience, I haven't posted as much recently but I made sure to gather up things in a bigger bulk for this post! I'm ginally focusing more on this AMV I've had in mind for so long, and I redid the intro animation (old at the very end) I hope to stream and document much of the process >:D

I Haven't been able to draw a ton due to being sick, holiday plans and wrapping up several shots for mystery skulls but here are some recent pieces ranging from gifts and trades to owed art and a request! ty to those who watched the first one be drawn in the discord server stream just now as well c:!!

Finished voice acted magpiewing video

Oh my gosh it's done! I'm quite proud of how the animation turned out and learning to animate the fur seperately to the body really speed up the process of animating Magpiewig compared to when I tried to time every curl on Crowsong from the keyframes alone :,D!

Jellyfishkisses did such a phenomenal job bringing Magpiewing's voice to life and I had a lot of fun incorporating background audio as well as music to fit the different moods!

Almost there!! Managed to finish the lineart so this should be done in a day or two which is great as I have shots to finish for mystery skulls real soon too so it's all quite busy work wise these last few days of 2022! It's super nice getting to wrap up several projects and feel more capable to work on others things next year as quite a few projects have been shelved for months and months :,D!

I haven't gotten to do as many commissions as I planned but I might take them more frequent...

Magpiewing animated voice acting wip

OOOO boy am I excited for these!! I managed to find a sweet person who's perfectly voicing magpie and here are all the storyboards I plan to use so far (I have 2 more involving crow for future things!) and I'm really enjoying these so far! Most will be animatics but if I feel ambitious some might end up as pmvs and of course the animated one will be fully completed >:D!

Art/animation wips

I got motivation back for the voice acted magpiewing project which features both crow and lil in it too! Most will be animatics but I'm also taking small steps towards finishing the animated part as well!

I also finished a nightfall chibi, turned some scrapped frames into oc doodles and have brought back an old storaged character (Elise) that's finally getting a bunch of redrawn art! Might even bring back Loulou in the near future as well....

Speedpaint/-edit - December

A long video this time as I recorded most of my editing for the recent map part! It might be difficult catching what exactly I'm doing but I hope it might be interesting to watch for some :,> Tysm again for all the commissions I got a chance to draw as well! Hoping to take some more in January as well as I didn't get time to draw as many as planned^^

I'm determined to finish this one up before doing the next round of comms so been chipping away at it for 2 days and im both really enjoying it and slowly working with the fears of making scenery :,D! Quite happy with the result so far!

I haven't been able to finish as much art as I've been animating but I did finish 2 more christmas gifts for my beloved besties too, drawing some pokemon designs is always a joy and a nice break from cats

NLTL ending - finished rough animation

I'm not used to making proper roughs for animations but it's been an eye opener in terms of improved work process and alot of fun too! I'm collabing with 4 others to bring this animation to life and I'm very excited to see each person's cleanup of it!

I'm especially proud of the last shot, again recorded myself as reference which was a tricky challenge but so so so useful to get the movements right! I'm also glad my previous walk cycles has come to great use as well; I could to pretty...

OC art & Crowsong MAP part frames

Crow finally got proper icons for toyhou.se, someday I'll get around to animate one  but I like these for now! I'm also discarding the plushie videos but I was still happy with the sketch of the animation so I finished it!
Then a small jackdaw doodle and higher res captures of the recent map part (posted for birbs & up atm!)
Quite certain I'll be able to handle commissions in december since not finishing 2 whole animation memes will open up some time, looking forward to that ...
