Wow, I almost missed it, but it's never too late to celebrate! The MineFortress mod turned two years old yesterday!! 🎉 Big date for us! On November 23rd, 2021 - the same day the first public version of the mod was released.
Although the mod had been in the works since mid-2018 as a personal project to play with friends, it eventually became a public project. I could never have imagined that it would grow into such a significant community!

I am improving the mod for a better user experience. The new release includes two commands to toggle campfires and borders.

This update is mostly about refactoring the internals of the mod. It should theoretically fix some bugs but also may introduce some new bugs 😅

This update is a huge milestone for the mod, as it's the first version that is compatible with Minecraft 1.20.1 and later versions. From now on I will try to keep the mod up to date with the latest Minecraft releases because I don't want to actually go through that amount of migration pain again 😅

What's new:
- Destroyable buildings! Every building in your fortress has health now. Depending on the amount of destroyed blocks a health level of a building will change.
- You can view every building health in combat mode/on a combat GUI tab.
- Zombies will sometimes come and try to destroy all of your buildings, you will need to defend the village from them. Warriors are more valuable now!

This update is mostly about the buildings system.
What's new:
- No more need to remove all blocks when editing an already exitsting blueprint. Just use the clear button in pause menu when editing a blueprint
- When you clear a blueprint, you will get a confirmation dialog to make sure that you really want to do that

The new development builds website was introduced 3 days ago and here is the first small update for it. In a previous version of the website, the builds contain only a name and no description. So it was almost impossible to understand what was changed in the build. With this update, a small description will be included in each build.

This update introduces a new hire menu for hiring warriors, miners, and lumberjacks, which includes associated resource costs for hiring miners and lumberjacks.

- Hire pawns in an RTS way, when clicking on a specific profession special menu opens.
